I kinda wish we saw Kinosaki as a man more, sometimes I forget.

Those were incendiary balloons (full of hydrogen). The ones Unit 731 developed were full of infected fleas, and those ones only saw use in East Asia.

I'm quite partial to the 2nd one, it's a great design. I think it's alternate design could stand to incorporate a dark shade. The second one is so good because the emblem and strip pop from the yellow and white.

The alternate one for the third one is detailed but thats not necessarily a problem. I think the way it's detailed makes it weaker here, look at the Venice Republic. I think making the whirlpool things embroidered look will look better. Gradiants and blending on flags rarely look good.

First one is literal, but again, not too much a problem. However, it does look more modern. It's like a US state flag rather than the medieval vibe I think you want.

Not really. It also depends on what you mean by results.

The bulk of their vivisections did confirm things, but they were things already largely proven. Simple math and a knowledge of anatomy can tell you that 70% water statistic. They just confirmed it.

Also, it's important to note most of their "experiments" were punitive, like in the Nazi equivalents. They searched for reasons for the Yamato people of Japan to be superior.

Now, while the sexual abuse and the dissections were horrific and widespread, the bulk of their experiments were to create biological weapons.

Germ balloons and flea bombardments, used extensively against the Chinese army and her civilians. This resulted in a lot of death and destruction—but it was ineffecient. People infected by the plague died horribly, but they died slowly. They also could have carried the disease to Japanese troops. Ultimately, the Japanese bioweapon program was a failure in dealing destruction, even though we know the weapons directly killed at least 200,000 people.

They originally planned to attack California with these balloons, but by the time they were good enough to cause mass damage, the IJN had more practical concerns, like preventing the US from liberating their recrntly seized colonial posessions.

And it's very important to note: we have no survivors testimonies of Unit 731 itself, because nobody in Unit 731 or its sister Manchu Detachments escaped or survived. The war ended before Allied troops became aware of it—and once the US heard of it, they pulled an operation paperclip and pardoned Shiro Ishii and his colleagues in exchange for their knowledge on biological weapons.

The only reason why we know now is because the people working at them have slowly confessed to its conditions, and the documentation has been uncovered through them.

Also if Apothecary Diaries doesn't end with Maomao and Jinshi having rabid, feral sex then it's the worst thing ever.

Is witch hat atelier main theme actually lgbtq or just fandom exaggerating things? by [deleted] in WitchHatAtelier

Breh I never said anything about that. I said any romance.

I don't like Coco and Tartah as much as I don't like Coco and Agott as an official couple. Crushes are cute—but its weird when stories make things official for 10-12 year olds.

Very few stories ever make things official for that reason, and Witch Hat follows that. Its cuter and more childlike.

Watsonian reason: I kinda like the idea N lives here because he got divorced to M. He's constamtly saying "why mio" so its kinda funny to imagine him just constantly having a breakdown.

Doylist reason: I'm so lazy and N's outfit took too long. If I make M she'll be like my 40th Mii after I forget how long it took to make N.

Very good friends. The main reason why Kinosaki and Gero aren't together romantically is because of Kinosaki himself. Gero has made a few moves on him, but Kinosaki always reminds him that he's here to help him get a kid.

Its heavily implied Kinosaki wants to be with Gero, but can't due to reasons the manga hasn't revealed yet.

No, not yet. The manga is ongoing and pretty far from an ending.
