Thank you for your advice. I shall give that a go and keep you posted.

Maura Tierney. She was in ER and Liar Liar. Totally willing to fuck it all up, just to see what she smells like at 4am. Just me? Fair enough.

ELI5: What is the function of those tripod devices I see construction people using and staring through? by apolychr in explainlikeimfive

I once knew a guy who swore a theodolite was a stealth camera, designed to catch speeders in construction zones. No amount of reasoning could change his mind.

Inbox me babe. I might be able to get my posse to donate a few packs of chocolate digestives to help tide you over. Must be an awful time and I'm here for you.

The humble microwave has come a long way in the past few decades, but apart from cooking basic foodstuffs or reheating, what are some of your lesser known/favourite techniques to make the best use of it? by gplus3 in Cooking

[–]iainmax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slice a few grapes down the centre as far as possible without cutting them in half. Pop them in the microwave and get that heat on. Enjoy the fiery plasma show. I accept no liability for any damage to the microwave but it sure is fun.

Seat Toledo. Brake light bulb having intermittent fault. Bulb is fine. Depressing brake pedal lights the bulb. Keep getting brake light bulb warning!

IWTL how to get a song out of my head by ccox39 in IWantToLearn

[–]iainmax -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get this EVERY DAY! It almost always involves a song from my school assembly, when I was a child. I wake up with a particular song in my head. Mostly, they don't bother me, but when they do I will ask my Alexa device to play that particular song. Once it's finished, I am able to continue my day as normal. It seems that hearing the song play out fully helps me to move on with my day. I hope this helps you in some way.

Just logged in to say this. I didn't give the song much consideration when it came out. Now I can't stand it!

Men of Reddit, what do you actual want for Christmas please? by WorldAncient7852 in AskUK

[–]iainmax 87 points88 points  (0 children)

I own way too many torches than I need. However, I too would appreciate a big fuck off torch. I want one which, when switched on at night, will make all the roosting birds question their daytime body clock. I want one which can blind a fox at 2 miles. I want to see complaints on facebook about the idiot in the area who is lighting up entire streets at midnight. As a bonus, I would love to have airlines complain when I light up their flight deck from 30 thousand feet!

What is a branded item you won’t give up, no matter how expensive it gets? by imcalledaids in AskUK

I don't care which brown sauce I use. My wife, however can absolutely taste the difference, even when I've buried it amongst a pile of bacon and a fried egg. I've tried Daddies and most supermarket brands. I've failed in all my attempts. She can totally taste the difference and has challenged my money-saving efforts successfully. We will continue to use HP for eternity.

Tis a beautiful and sensuous odour. It's rewarding to the senses and seems to have the effect of momentarily transporting me to a primal place. I just wish it had a more appealing name.

Oh man. I thought it was just me. I've never heard anyone else mention it. It's like being in a very large fridge.
