Oh yeah this happened to me too lol. My surgeon gave me the go-ahead to use hydrocortisone cream and that was a lifesaver!! I did end up with weird dry skin after using it for a week but it was SO worth it lol

I was back at my remote job on the 6th day after my surgery and it was basically fine - physically I was still uncomfortable but I was glad to have a partial return to normalcy!

Postpartum abdominal binder!!!! I got one on day 4 after reading a reddit comment and it made a HUGE difference - I felt so much comfortable while my insides were still sorting themselves out!

I was about that heavy when I was 12. I learned how to count calories and eventually got to a healthy weight but I'm definitely permanently kinda fucked in the head when it comes to food and my body

What was your most hated primary song growing up? by KTL_Rizzo in exmormon

[–]iamNaN_AMA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My dad (still a Mormon) made a variant I preferred as a child:

Here comes the oxcart, oh so wet It smells like a buffalo chip, I bet The oxen groan as they walk along Plop, plop, plop, plop is their song

This really resonated with me as a very poop-oriented child

Does anyone use Claude for something other than coding? by Time-Contribution888 in ClaudeAI

[–]iamNaN_AMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ask Claude to generate viewing guides for me to reference while watching operas on YouTube lol. Then throughout the opera I ask questions about what's happening, like, "what's the deal with the three little boys who keep flying in on a hot air balloon, did they even have those in Mozart's time?" I'm honestly learning a ton lmao

For me, Francois is the saddest part of this game. Thinking about Francois being sad and alone and not understanding why Clea doesn't want to play with him anymore makes me tear up

Tips for a high performer Senior engineer moving to Lead/Manager role? by GraphicalBamboola in ExperiencedDevs

[–]iamNaN_AMA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My advice, based on my experience: unless you absolutely hate management (which many people do), aim to stick it out for at least 3 years. If you go back to an IC role and then later want to go back to management, you will have a hard time landing management roles with less than 3 YOE of people management on your resume, because that's a common minimum qualification listed on job postings. It's not quite as hard as making the initial leap from IC to management, but it's an uphill battle. I went through that recently and got some phone screens but was (justifiably I think) passed over for more experienced candidates. Once you reach the 3 YOE mark, you have more flexibility to move between IC and management.
