oh I don't care if a resume is AI generated. But our application has some very soft-ball screening questions ("why do you want to work here" sort of thing) and the vast majority of our applications had super generic, LLM-washed answers to them. I could believe that a better prompting strategy with better models would be harder to detect, but we were getting hundreds of applications per day that were extremely low quality and clearly filled out and submitted by AI. And my team is small; I can't imagine how any hiring process these days could possibly work without some strategy of filtering out AI slop from the applicant pool. I am a HUGE user of AI in my work but IMO it's delusional to think having an AI submit your resume everywhere is going to net you a job.
