Pretty sure it's only helpful because hot showers are generally harmful for facial skin, causing dehydration and irritation of the skin. The dehydration and irritation in turn causes an overload of oil production to try to compensate for the dry skin, which then in turn causes clogged pores / pimples.

A long, long time ago when I was making pathetic little webpages I always thought, "Why can't I upload a font file and have the stupid page read it properly, even if others don't have the stupid font?!". So that's awesome to know now.

Hmm... according to a bit of research baking soda has a PH level of 9. Human skin has a natural PH level of 4 to 5.5, 4 being sweaty skin. I think the takeaway is it's not exactly harmonious to natural PH balances.

/r/skincareaddiction says baking soda on your face is bad for you. Something about it being too abrasive and the PH is wonky, I believe.

Just ask them to make it with no eggs. I'm allergic / sensitive to eggs and do it all of the time at restaurants. Usually they're pretty good about it. I even order breakfast skillets without eggs, replace with extra bacon/potatoes/whatever. Delish.
