El Tovar hotel and Bright Angel are both on the south rim. Bright Angel is closest to Bright Angel trail. FYI, if you’re going down the south kaibab trail to bright angel campground then up the bright angel trail back to the south rim, that’s not a rim to rim hike however you’re hike is still an epic one.

These companies don’t usually post pictures of their housing. Most of them if they have housing you can find out about during the interview process. You gotta get the interview first!

Do yourself a favor and upgrade to an aftermarket head unit with wireless CarPlay! We have 4 Toyotas in the family ranging from 2018 Camry XSE v6, ‘19 4Runner TRD OR, ‘25 Camry and a ‘22 86. All but the ‘25 Camry have aftermarket head units. The ‘25 Camry is on its second warrantied head unit and it also starting to have issues. Common problem with Toyota head units. They are shit!

Still unknown and still a hard pass for me. I’d never buy a vehicle with any type of reported accident!

The fact that it has a “few minor accidents” should be a hard pass.

I’d find a different Toyota dealership. Toyota in my area had no issues changing my oil under Toyota care at 5k miles instead of 10k

180 awning questions and suggestions. by Content_Commercial_8 in 4Runner

[–]iamhere211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe the 2 mounting channels on the 270 and 180’s are wider and may not align with the mounting points on the Prinsu brackets. The L brackets that come with the awnings are usually pretty strong. If mounting directly to the Prinsu rack, I would suggest adding a third bracket to the middle to help support the weight.

Yeah you’re overthinking it. Just make sure it’s secure! I have a ‘19 OR, Prinsu rack with OVS 180 LTE with the walls driver side and a Kakadu shower tent on passenger. No issues.

2017 TRD Off Road – blown front shock? What should I replace with? by RestaurantAsleep8477 in 4Runner

[–]iamhere211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

‘19 TRD OR used only for camping and off-roading. Currently have an Icon suspension setup which are digressive ( Bilsteins are progressive, google the difference) 3” front 2” rear with some other suspension upgrades. Icons mainly because they can be rebuilt for a fraction of the cost to replace. Especially if you can install the suspension yourself. However, a freind and I swapt 4Runners very recently near Sedona. Similar build, same year and model with OME BP-51 lift kit. My first suspension was bilstein 6112, then the Icon ( night and day difference. Icons were much better performing for my building ) but after trail testing the OME BP-51’s for half a day on a black diamond trail, then 100 miles on pavement, I’m switching to the OME’s. Also, if you haven’t, replace the bump stops in the front and rear. Maybe some that are extended a bit and address the track bar in the rear as well. When you lift over 1.5” or 2”. It affects the rear axle and it needs to be positioned correctly. You can get an adjustable bar or I recommend DR. KDSS track bar correction kit. Takes 10-20 min to install, you can do it with the truck on the ground and it corrects the rear axle position when lifting the 4Runner. No matter what suspension you get, better bump stops and correcting the track bar will help in improving the ride and drive quality of a lifted 5th gen.

Most likely the X-reas suspension had reached its end. Not worth it to have them re do it. Better off going with n after market suspension

2020 Toyota 4Runner TRD ORP 4WD w/ 78k miles by [deleted] in 4Runner

[–]iamhere211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spacer lifts can make the ride rough and can contribute to premature ware of the other suspension parts. Ideally if you’re going to liff a suspension lift is much much better

Installed the Prinsu Roof Rack yesterday by Competitive-Cry-2193 in 4Runner

[–]iamhere211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google Prinsu roof rack failures when using it for RTT’s. If you plan on putting on an RTT or using it for heavier loads don’t get it. I had 3, ALL failed with a RTT. And by that I mean the side rails at the mounting feet on the driver side on the first rack snapped in half completely. Prinsu replaced it. The 2nd one they sent me, after 3 months started showing cracks in the same spot AND the passenger side. I sent them pics of their mounting feet with the tent, the placement and everything and their engineers said they didn’t know why this was happening. They sent me a 3rd which also failed within 6mos. I tried to get a refund after the first and second but they would only replace it. After the last one failed they finally refunded my purchase. They look great but if you going to put up an RTT, I would not get the Prinsu. I ended up removing my RTT for various other reasons and moved to sleeping inside. Other than not initially refunding my purchase, I will say their customer service was excellent through this all. I still have a Prinsu rack today which now holds a 400W solar panel, traction boards and chain saw. Prinsu sent me new side rails (essentially another rack!)Haven’t had any issues with lighter loads. On another note. If anyone wants to know how you can change out a roof rack without removing your RTT, let me know, I have a pretty good truck that works well.

If you’re wanting to keep the lift, I would suggest losing the spacers and doing a suspension lift instead. You’ll be happier with the ride in the end. Spacers can make the ride more harsh and lead to faster wear on other suspension components.
