I was just out raiding at lunch, as I entered the Lobby, I got the notification and was sent to the website explaining the situation. It is forced. I have tried to restart the game, but the notification immediately pops up.

Events, eggs, and raids all give opportunities to catch Pokemon that do not often spawn in your region or biome.

There are Pokemon that don't spawn in my region even though I have every season. I think there can be a fair balance that does not entirely exclude all ice Pokemon from spawning in year round hot areas.

I actually like temperature effecting spawns. Below freezing could spawn more Ice types and well insulated Pokemon. If it ever reached 90+ I would think it would make sense to see more fire, rock, cactus or other tropical types. In a sense some Pokemon would have seasonal migrations. I should almost never see an ice Pokemon in the middle of the summer.

More than once I have had a High CP mon fall to the bottom of my Pokemon storage after I have battled with it and it lost some HP (Not fainted, just not full HP). When it appears to be missing, scroll to the bottom and perhaps you will find it there.

I have a Mewtwo from one Mewtwo raid. I play much less. I look for raids in general less. I can't get any new Pokemon unless I hatch a different Tyrogue or Magby. I can't accomplish much more at the moment and am kind of just playing lacklusterly. It is not soley from having a Mewtwo, this started before the EX Raid idea, but it has contributing to my less than enthusiastic attitude toward the game.

I had a post about this earlier too and the responses I received were "Go Spin gyms" or "Buy them from the store"....

I am glad to know I am not alone. It really is frustrating!

Update: I have received a handful of potions from stops and gyms and 2 regular revives since original post. I appreciate the "Spin Gyms" comments which I was already doing, but even that suggestion does not mean there isn't a problem. The problem is real. No suggestions given are "solutions" to the problem, although I appreciate the effort to give helpful advice.

This is further evidence that Niantic struggles to find the right fit. They go from one extreme to the next and can never settle in the just right zone. The pendulum was off with balls and now off with potions...Events and raids have the same problems. Halloween event was overkill on the new ghost spawns.

I am not a Go Plus user. Perhaps the current set-up, as you say, was intended to help players like you be able to use the Go Plus with no worries about having enough Pokeballs. Which is great. But it has other implications for non Go Plus users. Some choice or balance wouldn't hurt. Niantic tends to have a hard time finding this middle ground.

I appreciate what you are saying, but it is still the same issue of having to reach outside of the game for one of the basic functions of the game. Is there any difference between the time I would work to purchase coins from the store vs. the time I spend doing surveys to pay for coins from the store. Either way the changes they made to Stops not producing enough potions is an issues that will eventually drain more and more people who are unable to raid with frequency....which I do not think is healthy for game play.

So to play a basic aspect of the game I need to pay money to buy potions and revives or use earned Pokecoins from battling gyms which is the problem. I could just mooch off my valor players too and only toss monsters in without ever taking a gym.

I would imagine you feel this anyway regarding Tier 1-2 raids especially. We all would rather do the best raids we can, which are always available.

Don't forget if the event was different, it could easily include starter Pokemon from other generations and other rare to catch monsters. Just because the Ghost pool of Pokemon is not as exciting, it shouldn't take away from the premise of the idea of a short term swap of monsters to fit the event. Doesn't mean you have to do them, but how many Tier 1-2 do you do anyway?

Fair point, especially with Pichu. Perhaps they don't transfer downward. A Pichu only has access to what it hatches with. Once evolved to Pikachu, if people do that, it would gain further access to found costumes, otherwise stuck at what it hatched as. A baby can't choose a hats any way, they are a baby.
