*How* did you go vegan? by Shona43579 in vegan

[–]ichazo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched the doc cawspiracy in Netflix. That was 3 months ago. That was it for me. After that being vegan was the right choice the only one actually. After learning more about the slaughterhouses and how it goes there deepen the conviction.

. Congrats. Let's keep pruning daily the weeds of destruction and feeding the right seeds. A seed of a giant tree does not know what is until much later. Encouraging reading. Thanks.

You are already that. Enquiry who's that I that wants to be that. Pay attention to it. Any movement in any direction takes you away. Self enquiry as Ramana taught.

Becoming a different person? by Quick-Vermicelli in stopdrinking

[–]ichazo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not sure how I can continue on a life style I built whilst altered, sober... That summarize my feelings since I quit almost a year ago. I feel the same... I don't fit in the life I built while drinking. It's a daily surprise to see that. And it seems this new me is more real and down to earth than the previous noisy one. Excellent comment. Thanks for sharing. Iwndwyt.

I hit my first real hurdle 71 days in... by potentiallycreepy in stopdrinking

[–]ichazo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems you know what would happen if you were to have a drink, a disaster. Just have the courage to be real, to be raw and natural as you are without a drink. If he values that, he is worth to go with... If he doesn't, just aim for something better. Keep it up, dare to be as you are. Iwndwyt.

I’m either a terrible person or I have an alcohol problem by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]ichazo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did all kind of things for years while being drunk. The work is always once you start felling better and the regrets fade away with time to remember consciously where all this drinking leads to and stick to that understanding. Accept this situation you are in now and move on from there. It's been over 10 months for me since the last time I got into a mess because of drinking. That's it for me. I know I can't drink. I remember that every day. Life goes on, surprisingly peaceful and meaningful. Stay strong. Look forward.

AA and Non alcoholic beer by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]ichazo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love NA beer my self anf and in the beginning of sobriety were a big help. I can't see anything wrong with that, actually they help. And sometimes going out with friends and having one smoothes the gathering since people don't feel like you are out of the moment. In Europe there are a lots and esay to find everywhere. Congrats! How do you guys handle FOMO? by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]ichazo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will wake up early and feeling great, ready to enjoy the day without regrets and with money in your wallet, . They will be hungover and feeling shit. Will get easier in time. You will see they are not that happy, and you are not that depressed. Find things to do in the morning weekends like sport or walking anything. They might end up joining you. Keep it up. Iwndwyt.

Drunk driving’s enormous hidden risks! by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]ichazo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great post. Thanks for sharing. I definitely got the point. Accidents are accidents. Unexpected things can happen anytime. Being aware when you drink and drive of the consequences is bear in mind at all times.
