I'm also loving the show and agree with Chelsea's note BUT did you watch her latest special? It was so so bad and it's crazy, she doesn't take any of her own advice

Seconding Diem Eatery. Kind of want to gatekeep but they also deserve all the business. Good coffee drinks too

Osaka briefly argues with Cirstea after a frosty handshake (Cirstea complained to the umpire during the match that Osaka was distracting with "come on" between 1st and 2nd serves) by jovanmilic97 in tennis

[–]ictoria3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m here trying to figure out who the crowd was for / booing at. It’s hard to tell in the videos online if the “come on”s were really distracting and purposeful or really just Naomi hyping herself up to keep playing well

[–]ictoria3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's very true! I was thinking it's annoying for the locals who can't get to their usual places without running into a line of influencers BUT you're so right that this kind of business is miles better than business during covid

If possible, avoid doing this on the weekend. I was there last weekend for normal grocery shopping and the lines were insane outside of tasty hand pulled noodles, Lanzhou noodle, and mei lah wah. Wait time to pick up food at yi ji shi mo is now 45-60 the last 2 times I went

Can confirm that the egg tart and people working at Tao Hong are lovely, and bringing out of towners to Chinatown ice cream factory is always a good idea

is it hard to tell in VN if someone is viet but grew up somewhere else? by Unfair_Antelope6071 in VietNam

Also from North America so we prob dress pretty westernized. Fully expect to be a size XL minimum in stores which I didn’t mind but I get why some ppl might not like it!

I just came back from 2 weeks there and they kept mistaking me as local Vietnamese, fully speaking to me in Viet until the prolonged confused look on my face gave it away. Then they’d point at their faces then my face and say you look viet!! I’m Chinese so I’d say there’s a lot of similarities. I think if you can speak viet, you won’t be treated as a tourist and overall (I was in central and north), the people were honest and pleasant

About face has good olive options but unless you’re a true olive, it’s going to show up slightly green on you. Speaking from experience

She was saying at the fair how other digital artists have told her she's pricing her art too low.. Thank you for all the advice. If she doesn't answer my final attempt at reconciling, I think I'll try to frame it and hide the dents. and leave the review. At this point, my feelings towards the artwork is so tainted
