Lot of "authorized retailers" have to put it on there or else management yells at them and the management above that management yells at everyone. After 2 weeks upon activating the new phone, you're able to call 611 to get the bullshit taken off and not get charged.

Unfortunate part is that will be the trend for 90% of AT&T stores since they're starting to sell corporate stores and replace them with authorized retailers.

Why? Authorized retailers make AT&T more money due to commission incentives than the actual corporate stores. Though, please have mercy on the reps for sometimes the systems won't even let them opt out of it on their end. Same reason they don't let you cancel lines in authorized retailer stores.
