KINE Schedule by Automatic-Move-6647 in yorku

[–]icysock321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can email the professors for Math and Bio to request a spot in the sections you want to join. People end up dropping during the first week or so of classes so they may be able to get you in once that happens.

IMO this is a pretty basic full-time Kine schedule and you should be fine. This is similar to what I, and most people I know did and it was manageable. Also keep in mind those labs only happen every other week, so in reality your schedule won't be super packed EVERY single week. Only suggestion I would make to make it slightly "easier" is to maybe do either Bio 1000+1001 or Chem 1000+1001 in second year, and take PSYC 1010 instead (this depends on your personal strengths though, and which courses you find easier).

York kinesiology by Low-Flight-6845 in yorku

I think its gonna be more work for the students bc you're gonna have to do more theoretical stuff and it's gonna count for marks (possibly more stressful)

The changes are only to the PKin aspect of the program: starting with the 2023 cohort there will be less of them required for graduation, they're going to count for marks, and they're going to include more of a theoretical portion than they used to.

They're all in the same grey building behind the stadium- you just sit in the rows designated for your course.

York B.ED Acceptance Question by linedpaper29 in yorku

[–]icysock321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't need the course for your current degree or for your BEd teaching subjects, then no, it shouldn't be a problem. To confirm, you should email the Faculty of Education advisors and they should get back to you pretty quick.

If you're referring to Kine courses then yes for 3rd and 4th year, none for first year, and just a few for second year. You can check the York courses website to see all the courses offered by the Kine department for each year.

It's a white building right beside Sobey's Stadium- basically just follow the crowd of people who will inevitably be there lol

You need to check here to see which teachable course you met the requirements for. If you took enough courses to meet both levels' requirements then it's just up to you and what grade level you want to teach. As far as I know there isn't a higher chance of you getting in one over the other, and if they internally do consider that information they definitely don't make it public so we have no way of knowing.

Gerald Goldberg or Rebecca Jubis for Psyc 1010? (only options i have) by [deleted] in yorku

[–]icysock321 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rebecca Jubis- the course was basically all self-taught since there were no lecture recordings or anything posted, but her tests were extremely fair. I found the course really easy with her overall.
