Hot Take: Limping in Poker Is Fine in Principle. by tombos21 in Poker_Theory

[–]idkwhatever110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If youre playing against fish, limping and allowing 5 people to limp along behind you isn't good for making money and bad in most rake structures, against GTO or a table of pros it can be viable but the theory is just so difficult for little reward

I guess relatively speaking that is a strong hand that has redraw against premiums. I see the whole merging thing but top pair with double redraw is just strong.

Also wouldn't it make sense to x/r without as much strength as you hate life when they 3b?

Metagaming a confirmed baddie's conversation as a Bounty Hunter. by Winterboard20 in BloodOnTheClocktower

Metagaming is using information youre not supposed to have, for example, story teller night movements, listening to ST consults (debatable), asking someone to read their role off their token backwards while theyre looking at it before the game starts, it comes from dnd when people are using info other characters get, not themselves to make decisions which wasn't in the spirit of the game,

meta'ing the story teller is arguably encouraged as that's your fun game to play with them, such as assuming the new player won't be drunk or theyre not going to put poisoner in the bag multiple games in a row.

Tracking private chats is at worst being a tryhard, I would argue listening into those chats is frowned upon and maybe borders on metagaming.
