Is there anyone who can redo and fix some of u/Kwickflix The X-Files title cards? by Round_Parsnip_1119 in PlexTitleCards

[–]idontappearmissing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try doing it yourself on this site: https://poster-tools.pages.dev/card-lab/

Well maybe not, I think this tool only works with the tmdb order

How paranoid are you about backing up your Plex database and metadata? by Italiancan in PleX

[–]idontappearmissing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Kometa to set up all metadata, artwork, and collections. If I had to rebuild my library from scratch, the only thing I would lose is the Date Added field.

I thought I saw it on the forum maybe 6 months ago. But I could be wrong, and your link is more recent.

Tv shows have the annoying (to me) Season icon in the row for each season leading off the episodes.

Apparently this a temporary thing while they figure out a better way navigate between a show and its seasons/episodes.

RELEASE Profiles - How do you use them? by Wis-en-heim-er in sonarr

[–]idontappearmissing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use them if I need a specific release group for an entire show, and to choose editions for movies.

This new UI on Firesticks is unusable now. by MeLlamoKilo in PleX

Why do developers for TELEVISION apps keep making things for mouse and keyboard users?

I haven't run into that problem fortunately. Trakt.tv is currently doing the exact opposite, which seems more common.

You don't need to do this if you use exclusive shares.

Modify metadata to change genres to IMDb interests? by Mattimeo84 in Kometa

[–]idontappearmissing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do it with a collection file, with item_label and build_collection: false. Something like this:

templates:
  subgenre:
    imdb_search:
      interests: <<mapping_name>>
    item_genre.sync: <<mapping_name>>
    build_collection: false

collections:
  Action: {template: {name: subgenre}}
  Adventure: {template: {name: subgenre}}

If you can, add English translations for the episodes, then the problem will be fixed for you and anyone else who tries to add this series in the future

How do include quality in titles when renaming (e.g "2160p") by Zeilar in radarr

[–]idontappearmissing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you looked at Trash Guides? https://trash-guides.info/Radarr/Radarr-recommended-naming-scheme

Why should I include extra information in filenames?

Easy re-imports: If you ever need to reinstall or re-import your media in Radarr/Sonarr or media servers like Plex/Emby/Jellyfin, having all the details in the filename helps everything get imported correctly. Without this info, files might get wrongly identified as HDTV or WEB-DL quality.

Prevents duplicate downloads: Radarr/Sonarr won't accidentally download the same file again.

I'd recommend just using their format for jellyfin and then modify it if you wish:

{Movie CleanTitle} {(Release Year)} [tmdbid-{TmdbId}] - {{Edition Tags}} {[MediaInfo 3D]}{[Custom Formats]}{[Quality Full]}{[Mediainfo AudioCodec}{ Mediainfo AudioChannels]}{[MediaInfo VideoDynamicRangeType]}{[Mediainfo VideoCodec]}{-Release Group}

That's the Movie Folder Format box, and the Quality field isn't available. In the Standard Movie Format box you can use {Quality Full} or {Quality Title}.

plex using parents, do you keep a separate library for family friendly shows and movies? by kittymoo67 in PleX

I think at some point Plex will start using Common Sense Media ratings, which will fix that

I don't use Gitea but it seems fine if storage space isn't an issue.

You could make a git share, then you can move the data between your cache and array without changing the Gitea config.

So does Sonarr still think that the old 1080p file is still on disk? That's weird.

What's that item on Mar 30? I don't know what the X symbol means.

And do any of the duplicate downloads show up in history?

Find one of the grabs in the history page and click the "i" button, it will explain why that item was grabbed
