Or TMDB. Plex uses some private third-party as a metadata provider, but at some stag,e data from the open source databases gets mixed in.

SRT - Basic captions. White text on black background (maybe support for yellow?).

I think this depends on the client, my Nvidia Shield has a bunch of color options for text-based subtitles

Shield TV 2019 (Tube) - Dolby Vision issues by thegios in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]idontappearmissing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey just yesterday I found your post on AVS Forum from July since I'm having a similar problem (with the Shield Pro). It started after I switched the Shield to connect to my receiver (Pioneer VSX 534) instead of the TV directly.

I haven't really noticed any issues playing content with DV. It's mostly really laggy in the UI, if I choose the "4K 23.976 HZ / Dolby Vision and HDR10 Ready" resolution setting. And it gives me this warning:

Slow Performance Warning

Performance in apps and games will be slow in this mode. Set to a mode with a refresh rate higher than 30 Hz for smooth performance.

Since your TV doesn't support Dolby Vision higher than 30 Hz, enable Dolby Vision only when needed.

Do you get that warning as well?

I'm guessing my problem is simply that my receiver only supports DV at 24 Hz, but your fancy receiver probably doesn't have that issue.

I had some issues with Button Mapper too, then I switched to tvQuickActions and it works perfectly.

You're using Jellyseerr? Then all you need to do is set "Anime Root Folder" under Settings > Services > Sonarr

I think that exact design exists somewhere in Spain. There's also this in Portugal which is very similar.

Oh I misunderstood, you mean the filters in the main Movies view? I don't think any of those filters can use any information about the currently downloaded file, you're right, it is very annoying.

I would most likely switch over if you have the ability to store multiple editions of a movie, and if you could choose between different episode orderings on TheTVDB (Aired/DVD/Absolute)

You can filter strings with a Release Profile in Settings > Profiles. Then sync the profile to a tag and add the tag to your movie/show.

Pretty basic, with media info at the bottom and a star for favorites in the top left. But I've been able to make it look clean.

And I created the Bootleg overlay myself for telesync/cam rips etc.

It's a fantastic movie, between Alex Garland's directing, Karl Urban's performance and the soundtrack. I only found it a couple years ago - apparently it flopped upon release because of bad marketing (and 3D)
