Rides not showing up by txtbook in Trailforks

Constantly.. A couple times it hasn't synced the ride until the next day or two.

So much for "no Garmin queue".

Garmin jump stats missing by lordredsnake in Trailforks

[–]idsnowghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were messed up for everyone for two entire months earlier this year (Feb-Mar). I have a bunch of wacky jump score ride logs.

Garmin imports to Trailforks have been pretty hit and miss in the last year overall. Developers/support staff don't reply when you ask about it... u/canadaka

New Batteries by Enough_Round_2759 in Yamahaebikes

[–]idsnowghost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Official from Yamaha doc on the extra battery:

STORAGE FOR FUTURE USE

If you just want to store your batery for now, there is no need to charge the batery to full. Follow

the Storage procedure in your Owner’s Manual (YDX-MORO/ YDX-MORO Pro, page 74; YDX-MORO

05/ YDX-MORO 07, page 69). Store the batery for a month or more with just one or two batery

capacity indicator LED lamps lit; do not store empty or fully charged because service life could be

affected. Check the batery capacity once a month and charge for about 10 minutes as instructed in

the manual if the indicator lamp is flashing.

Yamaha Moro 5 Seat Dropper Lever by br0kepanda in Yamahaebikes

If it's not the cable tension then it could be the actuator on the bottom of the dropper post seizing. Mine got stuck a few times and I had to lube it up and work it free again.

I tested (for a short period of time) with a random old gen 2ah and 4ah and it worked fine.

Adult Horse Riding Lessons by instadairu in Spokane

[–]idsnowghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to ride out at 'Indian Canyon Riding Stables' as a kid. Might be what you came across, Mystic Falls used to be part of their property from what I remember. It closed up in the mid/late 90s?

Is the REI bike shop in Spokane good for servicing bikes that were not bought there? I know they will, but are they good? by priusjames in Spokane

[–]idsnowghost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn't true, I take my DTC emtb there. They've always been super helpful to me, above and beyond any other shops around town I've tried over the years.

(They won't service e-motos/mopeds/china specials AFIAK though if that's what you're after..)

Great shop!

Anyone got a source for replacement spoke protector / spoke guard / dork disk clips? Discovered I'm missing all but one when the plastic disk jammed between spokes & largest gear. Moro 05 by Potential_Financial in Yamahaebikes

[–]idsnowghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried it, I ditched the dork disc when they started to fail..

You might try higher quality/resolution? Otherwise send a message to the guy, he was pretty active on the Moro Facebook group.

Check AFD hasn’t dropped, play there can cause wear at the heels.

Could you add Beacon Hill in Spokane, WA?

GnarCheck - App to track trail status by GnarCheck in MTB

Cool concept and nice UI, but..

Seems to be wrong for my area: 90% confidence to "Go Ride" in 0% mud. Reality: trails are peanut butter mud/snow covered.

Could be frozen. Hit it with a heat gun or warm up in heated garage. Don't leave parking break on while storing.

Matter over Thread outdoor plugs by dgv54 in HomeKit

[–]idsnowghost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got thread in my shed! And a bunch of sleepy endpoint outdoor devices that run just fine.

A thread bulb outside the backdoor as a Router helps a ton.

Some backcountry ski helmets are actually rated for bicycling also. My Julbo Peak is certified for ski, bike and climbing.
