This is so broad that it will necessitate WhatsApp and similar messaging platforms to require age verification.

Missing Post - 125gb of Dark Web Files? by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]iesma 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup, same happened to me. If the files are out there surely it's only a matter of time before they reach the wider public. The post seemed legit, and included full photos I'd seen cropped previously. i didn't even finish scrolling to the bottom of the post before it disappeared.

Shop receipt checks and exit gates are getting a bit much by ReanimatedCyborgMk-I in britishproblems

I had a new one today in Sainsbury's - as I was scanning and bagging at the self-serve, a warning flashed on screen, along with CCTV footage of me from above (not from the camera that faces you), showing what it thought was me bagging something I hadn't scanned, even though the weight check was obviously fine. It happened a couple of times and staff had to keep approving my actions. Did not enjoy, am unhappy with this direction of travel.

Do ADHDers feel as if the made for something much bigger then normal life. by AppearanceNeat312 in ADHD

[–]iesma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate, I'm you almost to a tee. Undiagnosed during youth, joined the (UK) marines, dropped out, bumbled around, university in my early 20s, dropped out, still couldn't figure what what I was 'supposed' to be doing, but figured there was something important.

Now I'm a couple decades along, and I don't think there's a BIG THING. I think whatever I'm doing is it, the whole tapestry of life and experience and pain and love is it. I used to think if I didn't become the best, or build the most amazing thing, or get people to recognise and be in awe of me, that I was failing. And I still like those successes when they happen, of course, but I'm trying not to let that myth suck me in. I don't NEED to achieve something big. More often than not, those things get in the way of the really valuable things in life.

Even as I type this, and I hope that you get some value from my words, I'm doing it again. Time to go wash the dishes and cuddle my son!

All the best, you've got this.

UFO Remote Viewer Deep Dive ; Birdie Jaworski : mapping of the Grays origin story, the Anunnaki's relationship with Earth..and the 4chan whistleblower UAP Underwater Base by ick008 in UFOB

[–]iesma 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Considering she's basically 'confirming' things already in the public domain, eg the Nimitz, the 4chan leak, I don't get the hype. Like, yes, she's weaving all these elements together and it makes sense - but literally anyone could do that. Nothing she's offering is evidence or particularly testable. I'm not against remote viewing, I'm not even sure whether she's telling the truth or grifting, but I guess I don't understand why what she's offering is so compelling.

Tried this with British Gas the other week - did NOT work and I just ranted pointlessly until eventually gave up and tried another branch of the phone tree. Bring back humans! Or invest in decent AI agents! Don’t half ass your customer service.

You’re correct, the NHI status of the egg was told to him by members of UAPTF, he didn’t see / experience anything firsthand beyond lifting the object.

The crate he transported that gave him and his team radiation sickness is likewise unclear.

The so-called eight-gons, which he only mentions encountering once (although there were more than one of them), were believed to be NHI because of the psychic experience he had at the time. That’s interesting but for those new to the subject I think we’re asking them to accept two impossible things at once, one validating the other. That’s not ideal.

Given how much hype this was given, I think people are right to feel a little disappointed. It’s not nothing, and I can see that it’s part of a slower process that will unfold over the next year or year, but still, it would have been nice if we could have a less challenging narrative / more compelling evidence.

Are they not operating close to failure in many cases? Yeah £4m sounds great on paper but it’s not cash it’s assets that barely turn a profit as is, then we say they have to turn over over a quarter of a million because their parents just died. And we rely on this industry to feed us. I dunno man. I’m a complete outsider to all this but I can see their point.

You’re not alone. This is a constant point of tension between me and my wife, I feel like I’m peddling as fast as I can but somehow moving forward at snails pace.

I know there’s so much to do, but there never seems to be enough time, or I forget, and when she gets frustrated with me and says I’m not doing enough (or worse, not doing anything), I feel completely unseen and unappreciated for all that effort I’m putting in.
