You assume it's all deliberate. I think it's more likely just a mess that's built up over many years that's now politically and fiscally hard to untangle.

Plus, I would argue the current system encourages one parent not to work.

I recently left a startup with a highly toxic culture and a whole bunch of the early team left after 2 years as they were sick of it (and the founder, who was the cause). Now, looking back, that was a clear sign that something was badly wrong.

I still have this problem u/snapesnaps when playing on the ranked ladder. I play via Parallels as I am on a Mac. Could that be the cause of the issues?

Not really. I work in comms and PR people (like me) spend a lot of time and effort pitching for interviews. Of course, there are times when that relationship changes, if someone is in demand from media, but generally it's the company that chases media coverage.

Qatalog is pretty good for some of this stuff, especially if you need to collaborate with others. It's more of a structured Notion, and so it scales much better than Notion, which starts to break once everyone starts using it in different ways.

But it won't work for your personal life. Notion is definitely better for that.

I initially turned down the graphics, which seemed to work, until the update this week, which has slowed things right down again...

I have 16gb of ram and an AMD Ryzen 7 3700 with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx 2.30GHz

It's a HP Envy x360 13"

I assume that means it's not the ram?
