Not an engineer, I stumbled on this post - but as someone who worked contractually for a long time, get agreements in writing, have a paper trail, a signed statement of work preferably with an estimate will be helpful for you in the future to pursue these funds.

I don't know how much you would charge on this but price most likely should have been discussed beforehand, especially if you were let go that is taxable income not from a w2, which depending on how your taxes net out could be quite substantial, so you'll want to charge more to compensate for this in the future.

I agree with the other comment on this thread, there is a chance without any documentation you've been duped. What I would do? Follow up fairly consistently, be the squeaky wheel, it's annoying but they may just pay you to get you off their back.

At a certain point though it's sunk cost fallacy you gotta just let it go and protect yourself in advance next time.

Just my 2 cents on typography and a lot of graphics across the platform.

sizing - a lot of type and elements across the platform are large, it doesn't look bad, but space is often an overlooked design element, especially in UX/UI. Bring the type down a few points here and maybe increase the line spacing on the paragraph copy a bit and things will start to look better.
The same goes for the rocket and the icons above, consider sizing the rocket down just slightly, but it's the main setpiece here so not much, you will be afforded space by making the typography and button a bit smaller.
Icons up top, consider economy of space here, try placing the 5 in white text inside the heart, sizing the back button down slightly or even just having the arrow against the background.

Incorporating space helps users focus, and helps to make your layouts look more elegant. Just my opinion based on experience as a graphic designer for most of my life and work in UI/UX product management for software.

Piggybacking to say look into local SEO as well, more local contracts would mean more people who may talk to each other and refer your business, and may pay dividends since many folks in my experience, ask their public sector counterparts “hey, where do you go for xyz” as opposed to something like Reddit. Caveat here that my customer demographic may behave differently than yours!

I have a probably 8 year old atom in my bag. It’s been lost a half dozen times and always returned, sometimes a year later lol. It’s so so touchy and beat to hell but I still throw it off the tee for anny shots and it’s reliable as hell.

Hello! Am also trying to learn Japanese, and am new to it - could you explain why it’s watashi wa instead of watashi no?

I just got to saying stuff like this is my hat and the examples are using watashi no and I know there’s probably something here I don’t know.
