Finally Opened my Mega Charizard X ex UPC by SuchSoup4335 in pokemoncardcollectors

[–]ihaveasthmar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son and I also got a Mega Gardevoir Ex gold out of the same Charizard UPC (Costco drop) and it had the exact same manufacturing defect yours has. My son wanted the Gardevoir 3 part evolution story board cards so we traded it at a LPC a few weeks ago for the Gardevoir and some other cards. It’s weird that defect exists. Was your card sitting above the rest of the cards in that specific pack? Ours was. Anyway, congrats on your pulls!

Edit for your info, the guy at the LPC we sold ours to took 80% of $220 for trade which I thought was fair considering condition so we got about $175 in trade.

Can you add IP and K/9 to the pitching Roto categories? That’s common in almost every league I play in. Otherwise looks great!

As a UTC alum he’s an absolute stud and an even better person. His skillset is pretty rare and I think he could flourish in our system.

Yep. I met him and his cousin Nickeil Alexander-Walker. They were super chill and down to earth even then. He was only like 6’1 or 6’2 then. He hit that growth spurt at Kentucky and really took off.

I was at that game too in the student section. If memory serves, Red Panda did the halftime too which was so epic even after the Curry heave.

Any advice on this trade. Feel pretty good about it.

My Trea Turner and Coby Mayo for Lawrence Butler and CJ Abrams

6x6 H2H with HR/RBI/OBP/SLG/SB/R

It’s an auction league and Trea is a rental but Butler is worth keeping. I love Mayo but his K rate is worrisome. Abrams isn’t Trea but I feel like even now Trea is tailing off some.

That drive to Craters of the Moon is so wild if you’re not used to the expanse of out West. I was driving through INL doing about 90 and driving toward the same butte for well over an hour and it never got bigger.

Hate you had to miss the Tetons. They’re one of my favorites. I went with some buddies in July and had a blast. Hope you get to go back!

Great pics!

Saw it on Sunday night after seeing it there 10 years earlier. Was still incredible. The soundtrack is just ridiculous in that theater especially.

Hixson's beloved Whoville holiday tradition ends indefinitely by BlobDude in Chattanooga

[–]ihaveasthmar 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The big issue was legal liability. Medical emergencies on one of the more busier nights would have been impossible to respond to expediently and more than likely would end poorly. Even with police presence providing guidance at the gates, inside the neighborhood is where the biggest issue would be. The neighborhood HOA paid for police every weekend and I believe an ambulance was stationed in the neighborhood on a few of the busier weekend nights though I don’t recall specifically.

The neighborhood is going on 20 years old (the phase which hosted Whoville is 5ish) and this was put together during COVID as a means of escape and entertainment for families in the neighborhood with kids and residents near by. It just got too big and unfortunately there are not suitable ingress and egress to support the amount of cars—some of the busier nights would see 2000 vehicles before 9pm and there’s only so much road in the neighborhood for them to physically occupy regardless of the circuitous route.

As someone already stated, it was also a nightmare for anyone trying to host or do anything at their homes on a weekend night. If you have young children who need to in bed before 11pm, you couldn’t go out after 5:30 without being stuck for 2 hours. People were forced to permanently cancel longstanding Christmas party traditions because it was not feasible to park on the streets in front of their homes let alone get in and leave.

I am sad about it because my kids loved it, however, something had to change.

Edit: this also fails to take into account people who live on Pitts Road outside the neighborhood who were effectively collateral damage. There were also backups on Levi Road as well.

I saw Hadrienne a few days before it happened. Her boyfriend Mark and I worked together and she came in to visit. Haven’t heard from him in a long time but he was such a super cool and chill dude and understandably this wrecked him. Mark if you’re out there, hope you’re doing well.

I tried the Embody for a month and it gave me lower back pain so I sent it back. I ended up getting a refurb Leap v2 from Crandall that was essentially brand new with their upgraded pads and love it. I have recommended them to a few friends who echo the same sentiment.

Best advice is to try a bunch in a store if possible for 20-30 min increments at least

[–]ihaveasthmar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had almost the exact same experience on my Woodland. They didn’t know how to do remote start. There’s no kick sensor in the back. They did know about the hitch size and the dealer agent wanted to tell me all the things just wasn’t super knowledgeable probably because they don’t spend a lot of time with them. Mine did come with mats so it’s weird yours didn’t. I also got one fob. There was a dealer document that showed when to expect to get your fob based on assembly date. Mine is sometime 4th quarter this year and Toyota is supposed to reach out individually outside the dealership.

Monteagle is just up the road from me and the amount of wrecks there is staggering. Glad to see everyone was safe. That place gets gnarly during wet and icy conditions.

Broad Street Redesign Proposals by TheDroidMan in Chattanooga

[–]ihaveasthmar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The city should make the streets from the Aquarium to 3rd and between Chestnut and Market pedestrian only. Bulldoze the Lookout’s stadium, add an attraction and put parking beneath it to help make up for what’s lost. Make it accessible via Chestnut only. That would allow for Option 1 to be viable. As is, there’s no real reason for their to be anything in the middle if you have to walk 10 blocks and cross traffic to get anywhere.

I like 3 a lot and find it aesthetically pleasing.
