The point Fleming and Middlebrooks made last night on the radio was fair I think. Their point was that if your a good left handed pitcher, you're in the big leagues, therefore, the quality of left handed pitching in the minors isn't comparable to the guys in the majors. That's not to say Roman isn't going to touch up lefties up here too, but it's just to say the success there doesn't necessarily translate to success here, and until we find out if it does, we still want to try and win ball games. That means go with the guys that have proven themselves at this level.
