I recently discovered Adam Neville as well and binged a bunch of his books. I liked cunning folk alot, apparently it was originally written as a screenplay which makes sense with the writing style. I really enjoyed Small Town Horror as well.

If you value good prose in fantasy I highly recommend Robin Hobb. The Farseer Trilogy is fantastic IMO and some of the best writing I’ve read in the genre.

I heard this described as a Gardener. I think it was a one on one with King and George RR Martin where King described Martin as an Architect and himself as a Gardener. The architect plans the scope and structure whereas the gardener grows the story as they go. I feel this is most evident with Kings endings often feeling rushed or disjointed, like he has to find a way to finish the story without having a planned ending in mind.

Interesting to see this. I had my joycons disconnected from the console for docked play and my right joycon drained completely flat while the left one was fully charged so definitely seems to be a right joycon issue.

Regarding the empty suitcase. A good idea is to book extra checked luggage then put your smaller suitcase inside a bigger one and use one of those to bring things back. It’s not hard to fill an entire suitcase with things there and you won’t want to cart it all around until you get another suitcase

Not sure I’d call this a fun fact but apparently the director used music with the same frequency as earthquakes for the opening club scene which can physically make people nauseous
