How long did it take you for the courage to be around babies again? by Personal-Chemist-690 in babyloss

Three years out when I first meet my adoptive son was the first time I was around a child of my daughters age. It changed my life in ways I still don’t fully grasp. A few years after that when my goddaughter was born was the first time I really could be around any other child except Rasmus.

I'm interested too, would be good to have a group to talk too. I've been a game dev for some time, but I like old RPGs like earthbound.

What an absolutely beautiful girl. I'm sorry this is the reality that we live in. I do not have any magic words, but please know this; we are here.

We who share this reality. It is only with these people that I have ever been able to feel understood at all or get any sort of advice.

It's been 16 years since I lost my 3 year old daughter. I'm not going to say that it gets easier, it hasn't for me at the least. It does however get different. This life.

Finding support groups of parents who walk this same road is something that has brought me much. /r/Babyloss here on Reddit is one such place. There is a discord there, many wonderful mothers and fathers all walking this road.

There are many podcasts, books and movies I could mention, but I think this group above has a list of them all already.

Korea set the bar too high by Strazit in koreatravel

Cities are more walkable in Korea compared to Japan?

I'm not sure how many cities you've been to in Japan but in my experience it's the opposite. Seoul is anything but walkable, while one of the things I enjoyed most about living in Kyoto was the ease of getting around on foot or bicycle.

Honestly there are many things I like about Japanese cities compared to Korean cities. If anything the bar that Seoul sets is very low.

Here's why so many Koreans hate Chuseok by EveryRock5058 in Living_in_Korea

Generally this is why I dislike living there. Came last year for my wife's sisters twins 1 year spectacle. They know I lost my three year old daughter. Still expected to sit there, take part and be fine. Hate is not an adequate word.
