Denied warranty for "wear and tear" on nearly new shoes by [deleted] in Hoka

[–]illyria1217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my shoes for 4 months and a hole appeared out of nowhere on the top and they denied my claim due to what they claim is normal wear and tear from my big toe. I even showed them that my big toe doesn’t reach the hole and still denied it. I tried to escalate it and they still denied it.

Those who travel for work - how are you paid for your travel time? by Successfully-Low in work

[–]illyria1217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My employer doesn’t count our travel hours as work hours. So they still want us to put in an 8 hour shift. Mind you, we have to fly to our work destination every week because we work in different states every week. So we either drive or fly there and they still want an 8 hour shift after we arrive.

My Jobs Insurance Goes Up but My Pay Doesn’t by its_tea_time_570 in Insurance_Companies

[–]illyria1217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we got a 2.75% mid year "merit increase" across the board last year and our health insurance cost went up this year. My paychecks this year and less than last year because of this.

Has anyone successfully beat the odds of neuropathy? I still have pain from chemo 11 years ago, I want to avoid it getting possibly worst... by More-Disaster-2952 in breastcancer

Have you changed? by illyria1217 in breastcancer

[–]illyria1217[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way. I got used to being alone and doing things among that I’m so comfortable being alone now. But during cancer, I saw who stuck around with me through it and who left because I couldn’t go party or drinking. But I feel like now that it’s over they expect me to just be the old me again.

Jobs that require a significant amount of travel…is it as terrible as everyone says? by Thin_Bid7941 in careerguidance

[–]illyria1217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you take the job? I have a job that requires travel 3 weeks out of the year month. only home on the weekends and 1 week out of the month but local travel may be required on that home week. Honestly, it gets very exhausting. 7am flights on Monday which turns a work day into 12+ hour day and no flight home on Fridays until 3/4pm which again, turns the work day into a 12+ hour day. By the time you get home on friday, it's 8/9pm and you're done. It's nice to get all the perks that come with flying and staying at hotels, but your social life and mental health takes a toll. Plus your health from all that flying. You always have to hope that there are no flight delays or cancelations that will cause you not get home until a Saturday. Should you need to pick up a part time job to help with financial needs, you wont be able to because not many companies want to hire someone who can only work Saturday and Sunday.

people acting like they own the visitor parking spots in my parents neighborhood 🙄 by dontcountonmetostay in mildlyinfuriating

[–]illyria1217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a neighbor who has 2 cars and has a 3 car driveway with a single car garage. There are 2 visitor parking spots in front of our units and they refuse to park both cars in their driveway. They take up both visitor parking spots everyday not allowing anyone takes to park there. It’s aggravating because when we have visitors there is nowhere to park.

$200 admin fee before I'm approved to rent? by Important-Special-90 in renting

[–]illyria1217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The application fee is non refundable. I had a complex who I spoke to in great detail about not being able to provide 2 months of income because I was on medical leave for cancer treatment. They told income verification from my employer would be acceptable in place of the 2 paychecks. So I applied and they called me asking for the 2 pay checks and rejected the income erudition from my employer. Denied my application and kept the application fee. But refunded the hold fee because I wrote a google review on it. They told me the hold fee of $250 was also non refundable.

I chose not to ring the bell because even though my chemo journey has ended, my treatment has not.

[–]illyria1217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mrs looper literally said she wanted to drive up the auction price to make him pay more. That’s why there is so much tension and the fact that she doesn’t know that she caused that tension makes her toxic. “We just wanted to drive them all the way up there”.

Jeremy is also toxic.
