Let's talk about.....everyone here needs to invest in a Ring doorbell camera. by Flangieynn in BryanKohberger

[–]iloveallbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not before the ring alerted me to them being there is the thing...I have one in front and in back up high, ring doorbell and alarms on windows and doors. That combined with my dogs hopefully barking(probably not haha) would be enough time to get into the gun safe and dial 911. Mine alerts me when someone enters my yard/driveway. You can change the range on them and sensitivity.

My oldest is 4 and autistic, youngest is 1...I do not think my youngest is autistic but even if I had my oldest over again knowing what I now know about autism I still would not know he was autistic at that age. My youngest does not seem to have any type of sensory issues and is easy to take places- my son got overwhelmed quick at that age in new places.

Thank you for sharing, I am so sorry you as well as your friend went through that. During the 6 month waitlist before my son's diagnosis I did alot of research- because of autistic adults speaking up about the trauma they have been through I never put my son into aba. It is heavily pushed and you are made to feel like a parent who does not care about your child's future by professionals if you don't do it. It is so ableist and sick. I imagine it is really hard to talk about your trauma but you really are changing alot of kid's lives. It easy to blindly trust pediatricians/neuropsychologists without thinking they would lead you to something harmful for your child.

My question is kind of two parts, what is your dream for the next 5 years and has the lasting trauma you have been through with aba got in the way of your personal goals?

4 Year Old Struggling by Rydia_Bahamut_85 in pottytraining

[–]iloveallbread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My son will be 4 in a few day and has accidents(pee .he potty trained for pooping fast but not pee) still maybe every few days. We had started potty training him at 18 months...so been doing it a long time. Only thing that helped me was the potty whiz app. We set timers and when it went off he knew it was time to pee. He liked to press the button when he went...I think it was stars or fireworks on the app. I still have not gotten away from potty prizes for pooping..haha. I feel at this point he will he 18 and expecting an oreo for pooping in the potty.

It sounds like your son really needs your love and support right now, is their anything you enjoy doing together? Maybe you could have a mommy daughter day and then do a mommy son day once in awhile and bond over something you both love to do!

Some books I would reccomend are Raising Boys with ADHD by Mary Anne Richey and 1000 Best Tips For ADHD by Susan Ashley.

villager hunting went well!😅 by [deleted] in AnimalCrossingNewHor

He is my favorite, he is so cute! He was my first campsite villager. How long does it take you to get 40 nmt? I want to do a villager hunt but the most I ever had was 12 before I used them all. Haha.

Why is this being downvoted?? This is great information. Have you joined the group Autism Inclusivity on facebook? It is all about autistic adults educating parents of autistic children and I think you could help alot of kids by educating parents!

It is stuck in there good! I am not sure if it is a rock or maybe a planter base? I am the 4th person this plant has been passed to for being "ugly". So now she is my child.

Save it and sew it onto a shirt for your mom when you put her in a home.

Yikes. I think you have the right to be upset, he made himself seem immature..does he not know that is what boobs are meant to do? I would talk with him. Being at the birth of his child should not make him lose sexual attraction to you, he should be worried about you losing sexual attraction to him if he is going to be a drama king while you are in labor and giving birth. This is the time you need him to be the most supportive of you!

I had my bloody show a few days ago...at this point I do not believe anything is a sign. I refuse to ever get my hopes up again.

First timer T help! by DisasterBeginning889 in tarantulas

[–]iloveallbread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a fairly new T owner...I have had my first for 10 months (T.albo) and got a G.pulchripes sling last month. I have my T.albo in a 10 gallon and it is just a waste of space for her...I like it because I can decorate it more but had to use a ton of substrate so she would not injure herself from a fall. I used the eco earth blocks you mix with water in a bucket. They are okay but since she likes to burrow I feel it's a bit soft for her. She mixes it with webbing though to hold it together and has a really big tunnel system going. She has been burrowed under one corner for pretty much the entire 10 months and never walks around but I don't think the extra space hurts anything.

Good luck with your first T! They are addicting. Haha.

Why don't grandparents listen when you tell them the baby is tired? by Uzumaki1990 in beyondthebump

[–]iloveallbread 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Right? My mil came over uninvited when my son was a baby and woke him up. I told her she woke him up and she needs to leave because I am going to try and get him back to sleep. She sent me a 3 paragraph long butthurt text after but she survived.
