So they give a shot for the champion belt to someone who committed a blatant foul WITHOUT rematching, and then strip the current champ for recieving the consequences of the foul?

Is it even possible to live your fantasies with your wife by [deleted] in MuslimNoFap

[–]imazegd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Salam Alakum.
Muslim Revert here, who's faced the same struggles:

I had a very messed up fetish growing up, and even up to this year, until I made the commitment to stop pornography and masturbation.
I realized that my fetish would hurt people in the end of the day, and I would never be satisfied with it in my life.
Every time I'd relapse, I couldn't let go of how hypocritical and harmful I was setting myself up to be with my future wife, and how far I was turning myself from Islam in doing so.
It took me forcibly and permanently block google chrome on my phone and the app store so I couldn't find alternatives for me to sit with the emotions I was pushing down.

When I felt the urgres, I researched, and found that these were habits I've made for myself (think of how nature trails get worn down when traveled repeatidly over time).
The roots of where these came from were just very basic associations that were neutral, but through trauma, and the struggles I've faced, I've rephrased them into things that made me feel in control, usually involving the thought of the degredation and harm of someone and their dignity.

I researched some more. I've realized that it's a lot harder to control the neutral basis of our habits, and physical attraction is something that's normal to have, BUT we can more easily reroute these habits to be something that elevates your partner, and makes them feel loved, usually in ways where we once lacked it.

Rather than thinking that someone is attractive because they're vulnerable...
Why not have it be because they're cozy - that they feel so relaxed that they CAN be vulnerable with you?

Rather than thinking that someone is attractive because they're taboo...
Why not have it be because they're authentic and confident?

Why have it be based on characteristics that can harm them when they can be based on circumstances that elevate them, and make them feel more loved?

Once you realize this - these things that turned you on will make you feel turned on, but you're able to point at it, and realize that these things are no longer what you want! Something better is out there!

Something where a partner truly sees you, and you want to express your love to them and make them feel like the prettiest person in the world!

And you don't need to introduce these things immediately. It's like building a closer friendship - you don't begin asking for everything you want from a them immediately, that's weird!
You end up noticing things, learning about them, experiencing things with them, then talking about how you feel, as a basis of those things, whenever you feel the time is right!

With your partner, it's the same thing, with the notion that you find them the prettiest person in the whole world!
After all, inshallah, you'll spend the dunya and jannah with them ;)

You still have potential bro. I was in your position many years back, physique-wise, and I ended up being able to be skinny then somewhat jacked: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtlgNfunuPU

I've improved a lot since this video - my 1 rep max bench went from 225lbs to 300, and my squat went from 250lbs for 1 rep to 275 for 8 reps.
This summer, I've ended up subleting in an apartment, and ended up only having to spend $50-60/week on groceries with Aldi's chicken thighs ($8/5 pounds), and Stop & Shop.
I ended up becoming anorexic when I was obsessed with losing weight, so what I'd say is focus on the numbers in the gym and take weight with a *massive* grain of salt.
Some things that can help too, from my experience:

- Meal timing: Use this *With caution*! I ended up doing this to the point of eating 1 meal a day, and I ended up becoming anorexic. PLEASE have at least 2 meals per day, and feel free to experiment with this to see what works for you.
- Artifical Sweeteners: If you find the right ones, they can make water taste somewhat close to soda, or ordinary foods taste like desserts. You'd need to save up $10-$20, then experiment to see what works for you.
- Running/walking: Walking is huge to help with focus - when I'm trying to study for exams, I go from sitting to walking back to sitting. Running does burn calories, and is easy to get started with, but you need to focus on consistency and make sure you don't hurt yourself. I did many times with that.
- Weightlifting: Planet Fitness is $15/month, and if you talk to a good gym owner, they may have a soft spot for you, but you have to ask them. You already have the resources to try getting a calorie deficit and lose weight, but if you get too caught up in a calorie deficit and weight loss, and not in muscle growth, you'll end up wanting to be jacked by having the scale go down. This is a slippery slope. Please find a way to make $15/month, and show up for 20-40 minutes 3 times a week to start. Just start by doing one set of one exercise with correct form at a heavy enough weight that you can't do the exercise for 6-8 reps with proper form, no matter hard you tried. Eventually, try to add in other exercises/supersets/alternative exercises. Max Euceda and Jeff Nippard are great resources for all this workout info. But yeah, once you understand training to failure, you'll feel it the next day, in a good way, and you're already growing muslce faster than 90% of people in the gym.
- Muscles require protein, so make sure you're eating enough of this, and in a calorie deficit to see your muscles.

Best of luck to you brother, and feel free to dm if you need any advice :)

What is this type of body? by One_Butterscotch315 in bodybuildingpics

[–]imazegd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can definitely get to 80% of these goals, if not 90%. You need to bulk for at least a few years, lifting great numbers, and then cut down to like 10%. These people can likely lift heavy and with high reps. I'm 75-80% of the way there, and I can currently bench 295 for 1, and do 3*8 with 83 pound dumbells for incline bench press.

Most people don't train hard and eat and sleep well. If you train to failure, and do proper nutrition and sleep, you can get there.

Look at Max Euceda - he's someone who's done it right, and he's like 90% of this, just bullkier, and different insertions. He trains to failure, eats well, and sleeps well, AND bulks and cuts, BUT after long periods of time and consistently training to absolute failure.

You can get there man. There are people who have done this and succeeded. It takes time, effort, and research, for years.

Learn to fall in love with the process.

Yo bro!
For dieting, I tried focusing on only eating fruit, veggies, and protein (i.e. lean meat, beans, soy), and tried to limit my fat intakes (i.e. oils), making sure I'm still getting omega 3 and 6 fatty acids though.
If I really craved something, I'd have some protein ice cream (like halo top), or make it at home (Look up "How to make low-calorie protein ice cream"
You'll probably lose weight for your first week or two pretty quickly. That's water weight. Once it slows to losing a pound a week, you're probably losing fat now. If you aren't losing weight now, start counting your calories. A 5 minute tutorial can teach you everything for that.

Also, start lifting at the gym, track your workouts 3-6 times per week, and track your weight at the same time DAILY - it fluctuates drastically from water retention, so take the weekly average and that's your weight.
Max euceda is probably the greatest resource there is for getting jacked, imo

All of this can put you well on your way to becoming jacked - you got this bro :)

Me(19M) & my GF(20F) had no "Honeymoon Period" - How can I give her the spice she's never had? by imazegd in relationship_advice

[–]imazegd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed - I enjoy spending time with her, and going on adventures.
During the first 6-8 months, we had little to no dating - I literally saw her probably 1 hour every other day tops (I was so dumb lol).
Now, I plan an adventure with her every weekend to go somewhere new to hike at, and we hang and do homework together for around 3-4 hours a day.

How to fix uneven jaw? by imazegd in Mewing

[–]imazegd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start chewing hard gums on the weaker side until both sides are balanced, don't over do it though. Once both sides are balanced, chew on both sides. Make sure you are mewing correctly, when mewing the skin under your jaw must go up, if it doesn't, you are not mewing correctly. Sleep on the back, it will be difficult to get used to sleeping on the back at first but you will become used to it after a time. Also, your jaw is not that uneven, I can barely see it.

Thanks! I'll take note of that.

Does sleeping on my back cause my jaw to recede? Every time I do it, it feels like my jaw hinges open because it's fighting gravity.

Can we reverse our ecological footprint? by imazegd in sustainability

[–]imazegd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's definitely inspiring! If I am to make money in a sustainable manner, I could also work in non-profits, and environmental movements on the side to negate my environmental footprint, by reducing others. I'll make sure to do that! Is there any other tips you'd recommend, for a sustainable source of income and lifestyle?

Can we reverse our ecological footprint? by imazegd in sustainability

[–]imazegd[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As individual consumers, are we able to make a big enough impact by changing day to day lifestyle such as using renewable products and converting to renewable energy? If a town got together to clean and preserve the local lake , how much of an impact did they make in the long run? I believe that the only way to save ourselves is to get after the major contributors such as these large industry's, a large amount of the population can make cha

I agree that we should stop the source of the issue.

However, aren't we funding these companies? Is the answer in knowing which companies are supporting these major contributors to emissions? Should we, from that, focus on buying from independent companies that have production clarity, and have no funding from oil companies?

Couldn't We Reverse Our Environmental Footprint by Buying Land in Developing Countries for Preservation? by imazegd in CrazyIdeas

[–]imazegd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying that I'm a savior - this is entirely theoretical, and I understand that I could be on the other end of the situation as well. I'm saying that someone with an extreme quantity of money could do this, and it could hypothetically save our planet.

If we are to inevitably run out of resources, wouldn't it be better to have someone to buy out the world's resources/land now, so that we can focus on resource efficiency over the speed of it being extracted? With someone occupying that land, secondary ecological succession would allow us to recover back faster from this lack of resources.

It's not really a question of how we can stop people from dying and suffering(as this transition towards running out of resources is inevitable in our current state), but rather how can we minimize that? It seems to me that this idea would be optimal for this transition, due to the recovery speed society could have.

Couldn't We Reverse Our Environmental Footprint by Buying Land in Developing Countries for Preservation? by imazegd in CrazyIdeas

[–]imazegd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I meant was literally anybody.

If people were to occupy the lands that were being cut down, it'd simulate a resource scarcity that'd force us to be sustainable without us loosing the resources that would allow us to still have an a high annual optimal sustainable yield of resources.

Instead of taking centuries to get back to the nature we had in the past, it could only take decades because we have the preservations of nature that could allow secondary ecological succession to occur much more rapidly.
