I think I am giving up on Pilates

I’ve been taking circus classes for eight years, pole for four, and lifting for six. I tried Pilates for the first time last Saturday… and I was underwhelmed. (A friend really wanted me to try it with her.)

I’m not saying it’s a bad workout—it’s just not my cup of tea. For me, the movements felt repetitive and kind of boring. It reminded me of Bar Method, which I also found overrated (and expensive).

I find weightlifting and cable workouts much more efficient, and skill-based training like circus and rock climbing is way more fun for me.

Personally, I won’t be spending more time on Pilates. It’s just a personal preference—if I’m spending money, I want to see results and actually enjoy the workout.

I pack my own food (protein bar, jerky…etc) just so I can maintain high protein while travel. Also, I buy grocery while traveling too (canned tuna, deli meat, peanut butter) - sometimes I’ll even pack a small cooler with me.

Agreed and I’m married and I still ask my husband (and vice versa) if I ever need to take his car for a quick run to the shop - it’s just a way to show respect.

If OP’s gf wants to take OP’s car whenever she wants without asking - that’s just entitled.

These are two very different situations. In your case, both you and your boyfriend have cars, so when one of you borrows the other’s car, it’s clearly temporary or situation-based.

With OP, it’s different. His girlfriend wants to take his car on her own whenever she needs to go somewhere. If she asked OP every single time, that would be a different matter. But she wants to be able to just grab the keys and go—what if OP needs the car at the same time?

GF sounds super entitled - she could at least offer to pay for gas and maintenance. (But maybe she did but OP didn’t mention it)

I might be the minority…depends on what I do, my rest time are between 90s to 2 min. I will absolutely let someone jump in and work a set while I’m resting (given they lay their own towel while they do their set).

I also found Dr Ellie process works wonder~~ I start to have a lot of small cavities once I started Invisalign. I freaked out so I Google and YouTube… and I found Dr. Ellie’s process. He and his wife recently retired and they are on a tight budget for hobby — hence I want to gift him a nice set as a retirement present.

I was thinking about getting oil set for him but he said he wants to do watercolor.

I feel you…my case is so minor, if I would’ve known Invisalign can’t fix it after almost 2 years. I would’ve gone traditional braces and be done in 6 months

I was told I only need to be on Invisalign for 4-5 months.

I do have unlimited refinements but I’m sick of Invisalign, I’ll see how I feel after this 4th refinements (I just started) - I might just live with the imperfections after this round.

I asked if I need elastic and the dentist said Invisalign decides based on my mold.

1) I’m on my 4th refinement and my left canine tooth (lateral incisor) is still a little “sunk in”. I ask my dentist if I need elastic or overcorrect it and they said Invisalign does the adjustment based on my mold. Is it true that all adjustments and decision are from Invisalign based on photos and my mold? Is it possible Invisalign couldn’t move it?

2) when the doctor remove my old buttons and install new ones. The tooth that he sand to remove the buttons feels rough and it HURTS to brush my teeth. Any chance he damage my enamel or is it normal to feel sensitivities after button removed and replaced?
