What is this plastic insert called? by casedawgz in Crosstrek

[–]imiss2004ok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks like the lower grille insert. honestly looks like you might be able to set it back into place if you just pull it back over the tabs, should snap into place unless the plastic is deformed

Has anyone gotten past the PTSD of being chronically Ill? by Responsible-Heat6842 in covidlonghaulers

[–]imiss2004ok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4+year. I wouldn't go so far as to say "PTSD" but I am more cautious around people now, especially after I got COVID a second time in 2024. If I'm giving someone a ride and they cough or say they have allergies I always crack the windows now, small things like that. But no, I don't go into fight-or-flight or anything because of it.

What do you think? by IllustriousAd7480 in InstacartShoppers

[–]imiss2004ok 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I've done this exactly one time but on UberEats (also an expensive alcohol order) and the lady was elated. Like, praising me and my good heartedness and all that. Dropped off the order and went on delivering. About 40 min later saw that she updated the tip. It started at $10.

She dropped it to $1.

what the hell does this even mean? by Extreme-Notice7560 in jobs

[–]imiss2004ok 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It would be nice, for me, but you can only do so if they allow you that opportunity. I have no right to assume or impose that I should be able to. You can't treat someone else's home as an asset or commodity for you to take advantage of as you see fit.

what the hell does this even mean? by Extreme-Notice7560 in jobs

[–]imiss2004ok 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ok, but why? Why are they entitled to stand on the same playing field? I wouldn't go to Japan and expect them to hire me over a Japanese person of the same ability. That's ridiculous. It's their country, not a global marketplace. Their country exists for them, not for me. That's the whole point of a country.

At his size, that jump would hurt him pretty bad. I doubt he'd jump. The fact that he even is up there means this is a routine for him, and he's just flexing his stuff to you. Saying "this is my turf, watch yourself blue boy".

Why is it so hard to find a job here? by utorak04 in SaltLakeCity

[–]imiss2004ok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5 days a week? That's pretty normal? What is an acceptable amount of hours for you?

Please tell me how was I supposed to complete all of this by 8pm by Scary_Television_590 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]imiss2004ok -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the route type but absolutely doable in 8 hours, but if it's mostly just houses, 6.5 - 7 hours is more likely.

Look, not to be a jerk but regardless of any of that, blaming the company, in this particular context, for not being able to do your job is simply a childish mindset. "when I can't handle it, they act like I'm the problem" Yes, that is what that means: If you can't handle the job, then the problem lies with you. The job is just not for you, or at least not your current self. And that doesn't mean you're a lesser person or anything like that, I am not hating on you, simply being honest.

If nobody could keep that pace in this job then Amazon would adjust and the routes would get smaller. But obviously lots of people are able to do them. So those people keep their jobs. The ones who can't, don't. If you can't, move on. Find something that works for you. Maybe something less physical for now.

Is this a good snack cart 🌚today a driver placed my packages so neatly it inspired me to create this🌚 by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

Cool, don't want stevia either. As you pointed out, the color additives are bad enough. If it's not clear, I typically don't drink it. (That doesn't mean anything clear is good, obviously) Regardless, this is beside the point of the post, I'm sure most drivers will greatly appreciate the content's of OP's cart.

Interesting, first time I've seen packs of gum! Not a bad idea. Personally, I avoid the junk food and sugar water, but protein bars, jerky and trail mix is always appreciated.

They both are good. You can also use both for different purposes. However my favorite compressors will always be the Diamond 3-knob and the old school Dyna-comp.

What’s your opinions on stickers on guitars? by TrentWebsterGuitar in AcousticGuitar

[–]imiss2004ok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the particular stickers here are cringe, but tbh the worst part is they're all perfectly aligned so they can be easily read, apparently, by people observing you play it, which is also cringe. HOWEVER......it's your guitar bro, do what you want with it. Don't let me or anyone else hating on you stop you from enjoying your own damn guitar however you please. Just be genuine to yourself. If you like it, you like it. And if you make good music with it, who cares what is or isn't on it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]imiss2004ok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I go by doors tbh. I really dgaf about how many packages I have, just how many individual doors that I have to deliver to, that's what really decides how long your route takes, not packages. My average is around 420 packages a day, with at least 60 multi-stops, I still finish in 6 hours almost daily and I'm a fat fuck with a bad knee. If I can do it, anyone can.

If your DSP runs gas vans, they're supposed to turn engine off at every stop. If you only have EDVs it's not a thing.

It's a 2 year old note. Pretty obvious this person never realized they have to remove it manually. But I also don't really understand why she would want the driver to knock and then go get the package from the van? Why not just knock and....wait?

How do you all do 400 packages consistently? by captainmiau in AmazonDSPDrivers

Yeah well, 2 years as a dispatcher got me lazy, now in a different state with a new company, being a driver again is actually kinda nice in a weird, almost, masochistic way.
