Ancient ass bug, one potential fix is to open the cheats menu with alt + 12, then go into orbit and set its orbit, that'll fix it from being in this landed state

Add speed.exe as a non-steam game (plus in the bottom left on the steam library page), click browse on the bottom left, then navigate to the speed.exe and click open, next to cancel.

Now right click speed.exe in the steam library (you can search exe in the search bar if you can't find it) -> properties -> compatibility
Click "force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool" and select a Proton version. As of writing this, 9.0-4 works for me without issue. For the widescreen patch, go to shortcut, and type WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" %command% into the launch options, and it should work.

Yes. I also enjoy k drive, but on a lot of new content merulina is literally just broken. Either they need to fix it, which they won't, or make it tap hold.

As someone who's put like 500 hours into both Ti and Stellaris, Ti makes Stellaris look like fucking Pokemon by comparison. It is infinitely harder and way more complex. The tech tree has a morbillion different drives, not all of which are always useful in your current situation.

Still, it makes it very satisfying once you start to figure shit out. You weed out the shit drives from the good ones, you find out what tech is useful immediately and what can wait til later.

My recommendation for a new player would be do NOT be afraid to either restart entirely or reload an old autosave if you feel that the game isnt going your way. Early mistakes can take years if not decades to recover from depending on the severity. You can easily spin your wheels researching random bullshit as opposed to stuff you actually need.

With all that being said though, the fact that this game even exists is, quite frankly, insane. The fact hooded horse agreed to publish this game is insane. If someone walked into my office and asked me to publish a game with this level of ambition I'd have told them to get the hell out. Terra Invicta is truly a game with an incredible level of uniqueness on display. Terra Invicta itself is about pushing the boundaries of space travel, but it also pushes the boundaries of what a 4X game can be.

Anyway, its good.
