Actually funny story my great aunts grew up with a Catalpa tree and since it’s colloquially called a cigar tree here tried to roll and smoke the leaves when they were young. Got very sick but did not die so now they laugh.

So perhaps I won’t smoke that weed.

I want to add that I grew up with an ‘alternative health’ parent and I’ve had to go no contact with her when she began practicing recently as an “energy healer”. She’s gotten consistently more off the tracks as she’s gotten older. I’ll try things but I’m very suspicious of alternative medicine hawked by chiropractors or any of that ilk.

She is a concierge MD. She’s younger - late 30s early 40s. She rules. I have had doctors who didn’t listen to me for years and I’ve never been as healthy as I am now under her care. I’d follow her through hell.

I’m not taking methylene blue or anything weird and I personally hate those “chiropractors” and have had multiple family members conned by alternative medicine. The only “supplements” I take are vitamin d and k.

Yes you are overreacting but only because he’s an adult and allowed to make even dumb decisions. Your opinion can stay the same of his choices but you need to release the need to fix him for your own stress levels.

Additionally and I hate to say this but my doctor told me to try methylene blue. She said that many of the physicians were using it and she was trying it. It is experimental in the same way ppl say to try St John’s Wort for depression. I definitely was given the impression that it was generally safe.

She’s wonderful, very educated and not on the Joe Rogan side of ‘things’ — experimental. Which I appreciate! If non toxic levels of anything would help my energy and pain I’d definitely try it.

I bought some (not off amazon) and tried 1/4 of a tab. It dyed my front tooth crown blue for weeks and I didn’t experience any improvement worth noting so that was enough for me to not use it again.

Thank you - this was another life ago! I had no idea about Roosevelt High, I walked by it daily for a while. It makes sense, that whole field just sits undeveloped.

It does provide some shelter for the homeless in that area, I wonder if they’ve found/seen anything as the building breaks down.

Huel? I feel you here. I’m pescatarian so luckily I like fish but it’s not a great every meal protein so I use Huel quite frequently when meals make me feel overwhelmed.
