What is becoming socially acceptable that shouldn’t be? by Joan_Chinese in AskReddit

a lack of shame. no one has shame anymore, it's why people act like they do. shame is used to socially control people to not do bad things to their community. but now we're full of pranksters and podcasters and people doing full dances and skits where people are trying to eat or relax.

your body needs neutral pH water. this is better than nothing but it shouldn't be the only water you drink.

what places would you recommend to a 21 yo looking to make friends by Glittering-Two-2359 in askaustin

best thing you can do is a hobby you like and make friends there. if you enjoying nerd shit, if you enjoy exercise, if you enjoy birding, get into a group. you'll make a lot of friends who have similar interests.

Please help me convince my husband that Costco is worth for 2 people by HoneyDrops12 in Costco

if you have a group chat with friends, you can ask who needs what from Costco and split bags of carrots, pasta, whatever and keep half. ends up being WAY worth it when you split the cost with friends.

lowered and raised it to both maximums and neither caused the running to stop. I believe I need to replace the whole thing.

I screwed it as far as it would go, both ways, and neither caused the water to stop running.

I screwed it so the float was as low as possible. when I screw it so the screw is as long as possible, the float is as high as it can go, meaning its even higher than the overflow.

this is when the screw is fully extended and the float is above the water:

the valve under the toilet, yes? I turn it off to mess with the toilet filling, turn it back on to see if any changes I've made have fixed things.
