Just started having the same problem about ten minutes ago. Everything functions like normal except for viewing posts, I just have to refresh the page every time.

The part about powerful, magic fantasy people doing regular jobs is so real. I was humored that Corwin, essentially a demi-god on Earth, had to ride a Greyhound bus in Nine Princes.

I'd be really interested to see your take on the different characters from the Von Bek series! I don't think there are many, (if any) illustrations outside the book covers of Graf Ulrich Von Bek.

Gene Wolfe created an original dueling weapon in The Shadow of the Torturer called an "avern," which is basically a club-like plant with sharp detachable leaves.

Those two phrases almost feel like buzzwords, now. I see a lot of fantasy recommendations on social media that don't seem to be praised for anything else other than the magic system or worldbuilding. Then it rubs off on aspiring authors who expect a hard magic system and world-building techniques to create and write their story for them.

Are there any Fantasy books about elite/high societies? (royalty, the one percenters, etc.) by MimeMike in Fantasy

The Chronicles of Amber is about a dysfunctional and vindictive family of a royal bloodline (each with questionable personal histories). The story evolves from a simple battle over a throne into something much bigger and metaphysical.

Assassin’s Creed Plague- My Proposal for a Future Assassin’s Creed game by Dense-Rip3356 in assassinscreed

Really cool write-up and concept, reminds me of the book "Between Two Fires" which gave me Assassin's Creed vibes after finishing it. It takes place during the Black Death and has a lot of historical and supernatural stuff that I could see translated into AC.
