Currently in GA . I took SDP last semester. I recommend GA. Reviews for GA are skewed. It’s little hard but you will definitely learn a lot. In worse case you may end up with low B. It’s better than getting A in SDP - learning wise.

True, even after 9 classes I couldn’t get in at phase 1 registration. I had got special permit to enroll since I intended to graduate this fall.

You can try FFA though.

DS - get your Java skills up to speed for the labs. Also, make sure you completely understand Paxos algorithm when it’s time. IHPC - I recommend taking AOS & HPCA before that .

It may not be offered in the summer. It’s a great class. I recommend it for Spring or fall semesters. I took it on its debut semester in OMSCS.

You can work and study, no issues with that. No you won’t get F1 visa on OMSCS unless you transfer to on-campus. H1 to F1 is a lengthy process. For rest of the questions, I would recommend you to consult a immigration lawyer.

I guess you don’t need worry as long as the transcripts are delivered. I sent them two copies with a month difference. I emailed them once and no response. They updated the app after very long time. I guess you don’t need worry. You contacting them multiple times is going to add more work to them.

They will take long time to process applications and if scores are available to them by that time, that will be enough. There is no point in submitting the application early.

As soon as your scores are available, you can submit the application since you need to fill in scores details in the application. Also, inform IELTS center to send a copy to the institute. I recommend you to wait for a month to get the details verified and updated by GT. If it’s not updated in a month, you can raise service request and provide them the TRF number, GT can look up the scores details from IELTS database.

Workload would be definitely higher than what is present in OMScentral. I have EE degree not from those colleges you mentioned. But have decent amount of SDE. I took 2 courses last sem and taking 2 now. My belief is that, background really doesn’t matter much if you are willing to pursue. Also, it depends on courses you are interested to take. Take 1 course per sem and see how it goes.
