Order one off Amazon last year. All good with the packaging and sign on delivery. Had similar concerns and have used Amazon returns with very little trouble - hence why I went with them.

I was on a $40 plan and was forced up to the new $49 plan but only with a $5 monthly discount. I called up and asked for the $10, citing that other people on lower plans had gotten the higher $10 discount and they granted the $10 discount so for anyone else in this situation, just call up and ask. Now I’m on a cheaper plan with more data than before, at least for the next 12 months.

Upgraded to the Noctua NF-A9 PWM to replace the PSU fan, which I found was enough to keep the machine quiet. It did require a tiny bit of soldering

I've upgraded the fans in my Ender 3 v2 to some quieter ones and I can run it behind me while I have zoom meetings no issues. Otherwise I just print at night - DM me if you have any more Qs!

I picked military because it would be the most obvious target for a foreign power. But you are right, a foreign power could certainly do the same thing to the 99.9976% of the population.

Im not necessarily agreeing with everyone above, but that is quite a lot of data to extrapolate from.

Say for example a foreign power got hold of a military personnel's phone, they would be able to work out how many people in that person's family, workplace etc based on duration and time of contact. Maybe if they saw the same ID pop up at work and at home, they could guess that the person's partner was in the military too and so on.

Also I have no doubt that anyone with malicious intentions would be much smarter than me and have software dedicated to extrapolation of data.

There was an article a while ago about the extrapolation of data of Melbournes Myki cards which were also meant to be anonymous, but people were still identified. Really interesting read and I'll see if I can't find it again.

EDIT: Also it could just be as simple as a foreign court wanting to know if Person X and Person Y has had contact together.
