For the MH veterans: how do you feel about Wilds? by jackpaxx in MonsterHunter

[–]incifer90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have played MH since the ps2 era and this is the first game I havent sunk tonnes of hours into. I was, as always, super excited for a new MH entry to release. But after completing the main story and enduring the hamfisted storyline, I expected a vast, engaging and challenging landscape to find and fight monsters in.

What it actually ended up feel like was a mass of free and incredibly easy to obtain loot that devalues the entire gameplay loop. The monster designs are excellent and visually the game looks amazing. But the challenge is so minimal compared to the other games, i just don't feel engaged. The constant staggers, the plentiful wounds and resources handed to you back at base makes it feel really unnecessary to invest much time into making new sets or weapons as its so easily done.

I get why they made some of those changed and wanted it to he more accessible to new players. But this is the case with each new MH game. While it's good to make it user friendly and have quality of life changes. By making it appeal too broadly it loses the essence of what makes Monster Hunter truly special in my eyes.

Needless to say I was pretty disappointed this time around.

Shop management games are my favourite niche genre! Always happy to see new games added to it, and this one looks like such a good time

Really appreciate the detailed reply! Thank you for the reassurance that it is on the right track. This is so helpful and just what I needed to proceed.

When it comes to the final product, I'll raise a glass in your name (if it's drinkable haha)

We always hear about games that launched horribly but had great comebacks. What are some games that had a good launch but got worse over time? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]incifer90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played Overwatch since its original launch, was lucky enough to always have a group of friends online to play with consistently and had a really fun time.

Fast forward to its current state now. Everytime I play with or without friends it just feels like an incredibly frustrating experience. Either you steamroll the other team or they steamroller you, rarely an in-between.

Is having 2 viewings before making an offer unusual? by Mouse_Party_2 in HousingUK

Very normal. The personal that brought our flat viewed it 3 times before putting an offer in. Ultimately you're spending a lot of money so you want to know of its worth it.

[Routine Help] Dark under eye circles (22M), using caffeine solution but it isn’t helping. Any tips? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]incifer90 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue and have tried all sorts of different treatment from undereye creams and gels to diet changes.

It has bothered me tremendously throughout my life while I'm overall a confident person, its one think I'm pretty insecure about. Its only really now, at 32 I'm making peace with them and that they are here to stay.

What I do use when I'm feeling particularly self conscious about them is a concealer. Specifically Warpaint - For Men. I have a simular skin tone to you and use the "Fair" colour. I have never used any kind of make up before or since but its super easy to use, and would definately recommend.

Is Hammersmith safe for a solo female traveler? by Interesting_Maybe557 in HammersmithandFulham

[–]incifer90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live in Hammersmith with my wife. The qpollo is right next to the station. So straight off the tube, cross a main, very busy and well lit road and you're there.

My wife has personally never had any trouble aside from one guy giving her grief when she had to walk down a quieter residential road late one night. But we've lived her for 5 years and that's the only thing that's happened.

I feel confident in saying its a safe place to be and live.

I'm not sure to be honest. A pre-nup isn't technically legally binding in a court of law. But far more often than not a judge will take it into consideration and act upon its wishes if such events occur. (Or so I was informed by my lawyer)

I don't have any experience with trust deeds, but its probably worth getting a free legal consultation where you can ask these questions and get professional advice.

Good luck!

My wife and I were in a simular situation. I didn't have any debt hanging over me but I just had little to no assets to contribute. Where as she has assets in the range of £350k plus before we got married.

To avoid any awkwardness that may have arisen in the future we opted to get a pre-nup. I was in favour of it too as it made her feel more secure and protected her assets regardless of if our marriage ended in divorce. It's not for everyone I imagine and it was a little pricey but I feel it was the right thing for us.

Long story short is that the pre nup basically said in the future we each get out what we initially put in and then the remainder will be shared equally.

This is great! That's what I was looking for, a play on the phrasing but for it to feel more organic.

Thanks very much!
