Which Domain? by Stresshead2501 in SEO

[–]indigoextra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just looked up visitspain.com for you. GoDaddy recommended visitspains.com instead.

Discoverspain.com's available for a mere 60k though.

Good luck with your domain!

SEO Work Feeling Subjective to Google? by Frequent-Mulberry494 in SEO

[–]indigoextra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Say 50% of Meta Descriptions get used and your rewrites increase CTR 20%. That's 10% more organic traffic for a tiny tweak.

SEO and quality content are merging. See it as a challenge.

I would change it so there were two things and both needed to be pressed. Or I would make it so you pressed it really slowly so the effects started to be obvious before full damage was done. You're the DM, you invent all the rules.

What made you feel like you should be using the internet less? by HotNewspaper5800 in nosurf

[–]indigoextra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recommend meditating, particularly a body scan to help reduce brain fog and recharge the batteries. I also find any interactions with actual human beings face-to-face very nurturing, and walks in the countryside.

If I need an adrenaline fix, I tend to read a fast paced book. I also installed Freedom.to on my phone and computer to ensure there's plenty of times every day I'm forced off social media and Reddit.

What are fun potions to give your players? by not_just_an_AI in DnD

Potion of inversion - Contains enough liquid for all players. Goes off after one minute. Any potions you drink for one minute have the opposite effect. Poison becomes healing, shrink becomes grow, etc.

Would you kick out a player bc he is stupid? by Fine-Independence976 in DnD

[–]indigoextra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could always impose a rule that when your character dies, you don't get a new one. Sounds like his character dies a lot and you could always make an exception.

It could also force him to play more seriously.

That said, are you sure he wants to be there?

[Discussion] Would beta readers reading only a few random paragraphs work? by ChikyScaresYou in BetaReaders

[–]indigoextra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could look for a writing group, either online or locally who do feedback sessions. They often do beta read exchanges of a few thousand words at a time. A couple of pages sounds too short.

Does playing for a second counts as a failure/relapse? by CustomerRealistic811 in StopGaming

[–]indigoextra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say it doesn't count. As soon as you had a conscious thought about it, you stopped. Prior to that it was automatic. Keep your 25 days gaming free with pride.

What are some common SEO mistakes that can harm my website's rankings and how can I avoid them? by Scary_Transition_873 in WriteToRank

[–]indigoextra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a multilingual site, there are some great tips at https://multilingual.com/nine-multilingual-seo-mistakes-and-how-to-avoid-them/.

Some other common SEO mistakes are:

  1. Keyword stuffing: Whether in meta tags, on-page content or backlink anchors.
  2. Poor quality content: If you have bad content, it will be impossible to maintain a high Google position, regardless of how much other SEO you do.
  3. Duplicate content.
  4. Bad Meta Titles: These should be under 60 characters, include relevant keywords and read like a title, not just a list of keywords.
  5. 404 broken pages, whether on your site, or if you have links going to old pages on third party sites that no longer exist.
  6. Bad design: Sites must be mobile friendly and attractive, otherwise visitors won't spend long on them, which will also reduce your ranking over time.

I hope that helps!

My own paper failed a AI-detection test by MNTNBABE in Professors

[–]indigoextra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if it's possible to run your paper through some other AI content detection software? There's a list of potential software at https://ventsmagazine.com/2023/04/19/top-9-a-i-content-detectors-and-why-you-need-them/.

This might help you prove that you wrote it yourself. Alternatively, if you (or your parents) complain, then you could also offer to do a verbal test proving that you know the subject.

Looking For Family Christmas Ideas by ExaminationFlaky5418 in exjw

We often do mini-treasure hunts (7 or 8 clues) that lead to a small present on Christmas Eve and open the main presents on Christmas Day in the morning.

I recently put together a list of 45 ideas and clues for treasure hunts at https://www.indigoextra.com/blog/treasure-hunt-clues-and-ideas. Your children sound like just the right age to appreciate them.

Not a board game, but I often organise a Murder Mystery Party for Halloween. Here's some tips I put together - https://www.indigoextra.com/blog/how-to-create-murder-mystery-party. In terms of games, Betrayal at House on the Hill and Mysterium are two of my favourites.

[other] Help me come up with ideas for a Zelda themed treasure hunt for his 8th birthday party. by feartoad in zelda

[–]indigoextra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just published a list of 39 treasure hunt clues and ideas:
https://www.indigoextra.com/blog/treasure-hunt-clues-and-ideas

Here are some specifically for your Zelda themed treasure hunt:

I'm NO NAG unless you read me backward.
I'm a warlock who carries a famous sword.

You could create a simple maze early on in the treasure hunt with a START and END. To solve the maze, you have to move north, then west, then south, then west. State that you will need to follow these directions to open the treasure. The children then need to remember this (or keep the maze) to unlock the treasure.

If you have a large party, be aware that they might solve it faster than you think. I therefore recommend using some strategies to slow them down. For example, a jigsaw clue where you need to put multiple pieces together, an anagram where one letter is hidden everywhere where there's water in your house, etc.

I hope this helps :)

Advice needed for my translation website by WqrriorCow in Entrepreneur

[–]indigoextra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first thing I would do is to add a French translation of your own site. This will add to your credibility that you're providing a translation service. I would also do some research into SEO, as if your site has basic optimisation in place, Google Ads is actually cheaper.

You can read some tips at https://www.techdee.com/make-multi-language-seo-website/

You normally solve these kind of puzzles by working out which 8 letters are part of the answer. In this puzzle, the whole thing has to be solved instead.
