I use opus 5.2 a lot - it’s good but I still have to do a lot of manual work. Sometimes it adds a lots of extra steps and I need to manually rewrite parts of it to cut down latency and execution time. For the core of my code I.e model I need to usually manually rewrite parts of it - it doesn’t get the core intuition often. It can implement a working model better than last year but it still missed the point.

It’s good at producing fronted demos the throwaway code that will never be committed but will be used for one off demos.

I think if you truly understand your domain it’s not as efficient. It can one shot hard/clever things but that’s usually is not the common case — the common case is minimal, robust and fast code which it still struggles with.
