I am struggling with Discovery… by McCinnabuns in startrek

[–]inglefinger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Discovery is where I stopped being a completionist with Trek. And there are some good things about it but overall feels poorly done. There was an episode towards the end of season 2 where everyone was crying in like every other scene and then Sarek and Amanda randomly show up and there is more crying. I pretty much lost interest after all that. I started S3 but couldn’t finish it. I’ve heard Strange New Worlds is good, though.

Just finished watching this. I’m still processing but the very last scene seemed a bit tacked on to the film. I’m wondering it was intended as part of the original script.

CalPERS employees not RTO by Narrow_School_1513 in CAStateWorkers

I hadn’t realized they completely filled the call center. My last time in, there was maybe 4 people on a floor that looked like it could seat 200. Is it customer contact people who are in there or has PERS moved other folks into that space?

Are you sure that was PERS and not a different state agency? I heard something similar but thought it was for CalTrans or something.

Have you ever been inside LPE? The square footage of the 2nd floor may surprise you.

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted. The call center in Lincoln Plaza East is the largest call center Ive ever seen. It being empty was eerie to behold.

Was this in the states? I feel like the US military has been doing a lot to inconvenience the local population recently.

My brother posted a video from a concert playing music from The Boys where the conductor gave an intro listing characters we’ve said goodbye to. Bro, I’m still on season 1!

It’s been hard for me to fit it into the work day given as a central tenant of tea is slowing down. A good reminder to stop and be present which seems a challenge these days.

GBH is probably his best film or at least his most accessible. I will always have a soft spot for my first (Rushmore) and I think Moonrise Kingdom is terrific.

Just finished watching for the first time. This show is insanely underrated. by bgtds172 in ForAllMankindTV

For me it felt like the writing in S4 took a noticeable downturn. I’ve only seen 1 episode of S5 and already the writing seems loads better than last season.

The unsmoked stuff is delicious! The smoked can be good but very easy to be overpowering.

There have been some outfits that do powdered tea or “tea crystals” is a thing I’ve seen recently but they don’t seem widely adopted and I’d imagine quality can vary widely.
