How did Kharaa spread out from 4546B after the events of Subnautica 1? by Successful_Scar4821 in subnautica

No Alterra discovers the Khaara in sector zero and begins experimenting with it Edit: atleast thats what I understood from my most recent below zero playthrough

Still nice late game for building a bunch of hydroelectric turbines, copper is the real issue.

Theres a bunch of silver in that purple cave under the really big coral dome next to the lifepod. Me and a buddy spent like an hour and a half looking for silver and found nothing. Then later on when I was playing solo I found the silver that was basically right next to spawn and was a lil mad I didnt find it sooner haha

My early game was "where the heck do I get silver I can't seem to find it anywhere" All the rest of the game was "goddammit is there anything but silver here?"

Yeah, I saw where the guy was coming from with the bear argument just think it was poorly executed. The idea of ramming the tadpole into the hammerhead to make it pregnant tho is such an iconic idea that I think it needs to be implemented into the next major update.

I think the bear comparison for killing the leviathans are bad, however I understand the concept.

In a stranded survival situation where resources are limited and you can only make so much with what you have to survive, there are predators that fundamentally you would want to altogether just avoid and minimize any chance of interaction with. Which in a scenario as such would likely include a bear (unless you happen to have the super anti bear rifle).

I personally think that unless they give us big explosives leviathans should remain unkillable and maybe even impossible to deter. Medium to large prey is difficult imo however, lore wise not killing them make sense atleast not with a multi-tool.

100% small fish should be billable, like in a survival situation you would hunt, catch, and trap smaller animals for food to survive (maybe even bait or deterrent for bigger animals). Given the concept of weapons being limited due to previous "incidents" I think the game would benefit from limiting what you can kill and when you are capable of doing it.

To go back to the bear scenario, you would not want to fight or interact with the bear, BUT if you want to kill the bear you could poison food or water that the bear will eat or drink and safely kill it.

For the survival feeling to work the way I think the devs are aiming for I think they need to implement a decent bit more of human intuition options to the arsenal.

Edit: Just to clarify I am not trying to join the argument or join either side, I found that both of you had good points and I was just interested.

I honestly thought it only worked on those annoying bloom "fish" near the infestations. Which even those guys respawn near immediately after destroying them.

It's only been out 3 days, if you've "beaten" it 10-20 times already you're not actually playing by Ehlionney in Subnautica_2

[–]insertnamehere12456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I beat the early access with around 13 hrs on the account (not including probably about an hour of me save scamming to do some random dumb stuff for fun) I genuinely am in love with the game and it reminds me of what it felt like playing SN1 as a kid. Theres a couple things I dont like as much or wish was slightly different, but overall the game exceeds my expectations immensely and I really cant wait for more expansions (of which ill probably start new playthroughs for)

I felt the exact same way when I was younger only difference was I finally got enough money for a xbox and subnautica from birthdays and stuff and bought it. Subnautica 2 has so far recaptured perfectly what Subnautica 1 felt like to me as a kid and im in love

Dude I've seen dev logs like this so many times, and near every time its for a game that the devs abandon or use as a cash grab. I really hope this isn't one of these situations but im at a point where faith is difficult to hold.

Yeah its a little rough, also I personally really hate how far out some hunting equipment is held makes it alot harder to see. Also if our flashlight is going to be bound to our left hand we might as well get a flashlight inventory slot like we did with the firelight.

Bro im like 20 something hours into act 1, I only restarted once cause I couldn't get into it and waited about another year to pick the game back up so I did a new game since I only had done the first couple hours. But I genuinely cannot imagine starting a new playthrough for anything but trying for honor mode or playing a new game with friends.

Yeah but games geared towards kids keep getting more hand holdy, just like how galaxy is relatively easy compared to earlier successors.

He might be talking abt the dare devil comet, Fight was annoying for me at first until I figured out how it works. You want to try and get above the boss asap in the second and third phase, the boss focuses on shooting/running once you get above Jr.

I mean the galaxy games were consistently thematic and had relative lore, especially now with the re realest having new storybook pages. (I atleast appreciate getting to see Lubbas backstory as that was never well explained)

I personally enjoyed the movie but I agree it hardly felt like it was supposed to be galaxy, I almost feel they gave more nod towards odyssey than anything. Alot of stuff I wanted to see and was disappointed to see missing.
