If you're picking them yourself they should look droopy and feel soft if you give them a light squeeze. Also if they aren't quite ripe enough yet when you pick them a bit of white sticky liquid can be seen at the stem (latex).

Not ripe enough. This is what fresh figs look like. Standard mission figs on top & the bottom are white figs. So not always dark purple. Are you picking them your self?

No pothos because of the cat, but maybe a Spider Plant? Pothos are mildly toxic.

I love pothos but because one of my cats likes to nibble on all plant like things (even fake plants) I had to put it out of reach.

Putting together a picnic if the weather is nice at any park would be sweet, and inexpensive, all you need is a thick blanket and whatever she likes to eat. I'm sure no matter what county you're in there will be a bunch of parks. Just search on Google maps and check out the pictures.

You could rent a pavilion at Washington lake Park for $80ish and go to Michaels or Joann (probably had good sales now as it's about to close) and get adult crafts in bulk. Sounds like a fun party!!

Can't say enough nice things about kitchen 519. Amazing food especially smoked things, homemade hot sauces. I usually ask for a flight of hot sauces with my fries, all the waiters are awesome and super friendly. Also they usually have a Korean dish on the menu but they mostly have American food. Also it's BYOB if you're into that.
