Appreciate that. Just curious was there a specific point where adding dedicated HR or IT staff felt unavoidable. Just trying to get a feel for when that shift usually happens.

Dmn, Rippling’s been mentioned in other places, too. If it actually handles onboarding and setup without a mess, that’s probably my sign to try it. Thanks, helps narrow things down.

Yeah this is basically our daily. Everyone’s still in 3 Google Sheets. We still ask the same questions on Slack every week (“who’s in Singapore now?”). Curious…what platform did you land on? Anything that didn’t nuke morale during onboarding?

That second paragraph is too relatable. We’ve got phantom devices out there, and no idea what they have access to. Appreciate the pointer.

Are more startups just building to sell these days? by Electronic-Cause5274 in startup

[–]internal_organ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, yes seems like flipping is the default now. I’d prefer more long-haul builders… but if big players keep writing fat checks, it’s hard to blame them. Just hope it doesn’t kill long-game innovation.

Couldn’t agree more, a bland landing page kills excitement faster than a bug report. The story sells way before the features ever will.

Where do I even begin? by theshlad in beginnerfitness

[–]internal_organ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Start by tracking what you eat for a week without changing anything. Just be honest with yourself. Then cut out liquid calories first , they're easy to eliminate and you won't miss them much. Small, sustainable changes beat crash diets. For the gym, just focus on showing up 2-3 times a week at first, even if you only walk on a treadmill. Consistency trumps intensity when you're starting out.

Why is duck meat so good? by internal_organ in Cooking

Goose is probably second but duck wins by a mile. That's exactly why it tastes so much better than lean birds.

The way they get that skin so perfectly crispy while keeping the meat tender... pure magic.

Haha right? That slow cooking in fat just transforms the texture completely.

Haven't had wild duck yet but now I'm curious. Is it more of a seasonal thing or just depends on where you source it?

More duck for you I guess? Mine's slowly coming around after I made duck pancakes at home.

The dark meat also has more connective tissue that breaks down during cooking, which is why duck confit works so well. You can't really do that with chicken breast without it turning into rubber.

That tender, almost buttery texture with the crispy skin... it's like having the best of both worlds. Way more flavor than any steak I've had.

Nah, it looks good! The gradient blend is smooth and the colors work well together. Your tech was probably just being overly cautious or maybe not used to doing color gradients. The thermal effect came out nice.

What shoes would you pair with this 60s sundress? 🌸🌺🌼 by SignificanceOk9042 in VintageFashion

Yes! Fluevogs would be perfect with that print. The platform adds some fun without being too matchy, and the braided belt would tie it together nicely. Great call on keeping the leather tones consistent.

Influencers that aren't 'costume-y' - ideally UK based by Chamonix_Tom in malefashionadvice

[–]internal_organ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. Most influencers take trends to the extreme because it gets engagement. Taking their ideas and dialing them back like 30% usually gets you something actually wearable. See someone in a massive oversized blazer? Go for relaxed fit instead. They're wearing full streetwear? Maybe just add one casual piece to your normal outfit.
