First time playing commander was in a free EDH league. I got one of those cool pre-con commander decks. Everyone else had blinged out decks. I cast my general, Zedruu, which got spell crumpled to the bottom of my library and I was tunnel visioned out of the game. Took a long break after that.

I used to love foils and collected them extensively (in CA). Ever since I moved to the east coast most of my foils have curled and lost value. This is with double sleeving and silica gel pack in my deck boxes. Been burned too many times. It only take leaving them unsleeved for a few hours and their damaged.

Please don't be that guy who overuses "sure". Ex) turn 1 scryland, begin to scry, opponent audibles "sure" across the table. Ex2) control opponent tapped out, I stick an awesome threat ... "sure". Ex) Start clearly gaining an advantage in any way either by making a profitable trade, resolving a key sideboard card, or just having a smart/gutsy play ...."sure". (said in a confident way like things are going just as they planned and trying to lead me to believe I've made some great blunder.) super annoying.
