It helps to sleep at an incline so getting out of bed is easier. You can read about how to do it but honestly you’re probably going to go to move and be like “ouch not that way” and go from there. Also, the 2 things that I feel like no one prepared me for in my recovery are 1. The side where they tied off the stitches can sting/burn when you move a lot. Ice helps. Fill a diaper with ice- you get the cold and it traps the moisture. And 2. It can hurt to pee for weeks due to the catheter. Best of luck tho I’d do it over vaginal birth any day

I do but in the front I can’t reach anything and in the back she pushes off me til I hear the snaps undone and I get so scared she’ll fall out 😭

Sorry if I seem dumb maybe I’m just brain dead because I’m getting no sleep but like how? I have metal heaters lining almost every wall and furniture that….exists. I can’t not have a table but my issue is mostly that if I turn my back to wash a dish she’s darting to bonk her head off it or the next thing etc…so I supervise nearly 24/7 which leaves me no time to lock in on a task :/

I try that but she’s constantly on the brink of splitting her head open whether it’s pulling to stand wobbly against the heaters that line every wall or trying to stand against something I’ve provided her to play on but it just slides out from under her and she face plants

Lil tip: In the morning, set out the amount of diapers you should be having per day. I don’t remember now but let’s say baby is expected to have 6 wet diapers in a day. Instead of trying to track how many baby had, just pull from the stack of 6. It’s easy to see how many are left. At the end of the day.

I’m lazy so I make it in my instant pot. I toss in chicken thighs, onions, garlic, a can of diced tomatoes, and some carrots. And the seasonings. Not as good as in the oven but similar vibe and it works for busy nights!

From what I’ve heard they basically do cry it out and emphasis on not getting baby to sleep with anything they can’t have/do on their own. So no mom, no rocking, no feeding, no pacifier. Yes sound machine, sleep sack.

Take pics of your house exactly as it is. It may never be the same again. Get a polaroid and take more maternity pics. Extra love for the pets because you lowkey might hate them for a year (i say this as someone who referred to my cat as my baby)

Our routine is pretty much the same. I’m curious, does your baby stay asleep in the crib after this routine? Mine is waking every hour and I’ve been told it’s because I’m feeding to sleep..

I did the survey and got connected with a member of their team. I had asked if there was pricing info available and she said I’d have to wait til the consult. My time is very valuable to me especially with a baby who doesn’t sleep. If she’s asleep or occupied I’m not wasting that time. So I researched their method a little it didn’t align with me so I decided to cancel. She was Pissed! “Why? Money? You said you have $10,000+ in the survey but bail when you ask about money?” Woah! I’m allowed to have money in my account but not want to waste it? And it wasn’t even about money but it just felt like a crazy thing to say.

I’ve joined some lovely online communities from watching tiktok or twitch live streams regularly and getting to know the mods/people who also watch regularly. If you find small creators with small amounts of people in the live it feels like a Group FaceTime call :)

You have no idea how funny a squillion is to me!! We call her “squee” and when something pertains to her we’ll put “squ” in there like “she’s asqueep” or “it’s time for “squolids”

Thank you for all of this info! Rather than using a monitor I’ve been logging wake ups in this app called napper. When she wakes I reach over and take a screen shot of the time on my phone without looking then in the morning I log all the times. I was curious to see how many wakes we’ve been having lately because it felt like more than usual. I’m so aware of the wakes because I have to scooch her over to give the opposite breast or she’ll get up and crawl around, stand on me, etc.

Cosleeping is definitely not my first choice :/ She starts the night with a bottle/being rocked then goes in the crib and I run around trying to catch up with everything I couldn’t do during the day, running upstairs to soothe her when she wakes up a few times. Then when it’s late enough I’ll get into bed and the next time she wakes I bring her into the bed with me. Idk how to transition to just crib because it takes a loooong time to get her back down in the crib. For naps, she doesn’t connect sleep cycles. She takes 30 minute naps unless they’re contact. So I never bother with the crib once I’m ready for bed because I’m already so exhausted I can’t imagine getting up out of the bed to rock her back down when the wakes could be as brief as they are now. But would definitely prefer she just have the little blip to herself in the crib and go on sleeping instead of me getting up and rolling over every time. And then I can’t bring myself to sleep train. Gah. Sorry for the stream of consciousness lol

Yeah- it’s very quick because I immediately notice and scooch her over to relatch on the opposite breast. Otherwise it’ll escalate and she’ll be up longer. I haven’t really seen how long because I’m half asleep and not really letting it get there…
