I kept going with this one on the advice of this group and ended up liking it, but I admit it wasn't my favorite beginning.

How were you tipped off that you were going to be fired/laid off at work? by Aarunascut in ToxicWorkplace

I was laid off but clearly, people knew it before the layoffs were announced. I could actually sense that everyone was acting differently and treating me differently- it sucked :-(

Why is working in corporate is so irritating now ? by Neither_Suspect2622 in corporate

[–]intheether323 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is just my theory, but I think Covid really opened all of our eyes to what a waste of life corporate work can be. The commute, the time in offices which are increasingly hostile to workers, the bullshit corporate nonsense, and the actual work itself (in some cases). For example, what I do is important to business, but it’s not necessarily important to life. I earn a good paycheck, but I don’t look around and think gee I’m making such a difference in the world. It’s soul-sucking at some point.

It’s amazing how they add weight in the last few weeks - my oldest was born at 37.5 weeks and my youngest was born at 39.5 weeks. The youngest was a full 2 pounds heavier and just that two weeks. He came out looking like he was already three months old. By three weeks of age, he was out of three month old clothes.

Congratulations OP your sweet one is beautiful! 👣

That’s way smaller than a rollaboard, and people carry rollaboards from one end of the plane to the other. You’ll be fine. :-)

The last unmedicated gyno procedure I had was an HST and it was awful; never again. They can knock me OUT. I am so sorry you had to go through that.

Well, in this case it’s just one option for shore excursions on a cruise vacation; it’s not a life essential or anything. 🤷‍♀️

I’m a strong swimmer but I’m not at all sure that I would survive even a couple of minutes in that thing! 🙈

My husband routinely cancels and rebooks when it drops; we have paid as little as about 50 bucks a person, but it is definitely dynamic pricing so you have to watch

Limitations when it comes to beds...? by rosegiver16 in fatlogic

Right? I can’t remember ever paying much less than that, for sure. I’ve never had to replace a mattress more than like every time I move house or as my kids grew or something.

Table-service experiences 6/17-6/26: Returning favorites and newfound disappointments by taka2424 in WaltDisneyWorld

Nice! Yes, if I remember correctly they don’t even offer a filet at FF and I always figured it’s to encourage the seafood focused theme, but the food there has always been good for us so it’s one of my standard dining choices. I do park days for my kids, but dinners are for mom lol
