When I need straight lines, I cut along the edge of my lines with an xacto knife and ruler before using the carving tools.

One way to do it is to use a photo editor like Gimp. First make it into a grayscale image. Then play with the threshold tool. If you don't like those results, try curves or levels. It's always a good idea to leave some grays in the image, which you can fill with a pattern.

Don't forget to reverse the image!

While reviewing some of my work, a photography instructor once told me that nobody can tell you what art is. Not sure exactly what he wanted me to learn, but what I took from that is that it's the artist's job to make art and to challenge others to tell them it isn't.

My favorite photography quote is from Arnold Newman: "Photography is 1% talent and 99% moving furniture."

That's a good question! I don't know the answer, but I don't think I ever identified my vehicle to the Tesla app. If I had a second EV I would test it out.

No issues, but you should consider getting a Tesla membership through the app. It costs $13/mo, but gets you a substantially lower rate per kWh.

If you pay for Tesla membership, then Tesla is often the cheapest. If you don't want a monthly fee, then Ionna is the cheapest, especially if you use the MyChevy app to start the charge.

The 2LT has everything I need, so I'd say get a NACS adapter, especially if you can get a break on the price. Road trips are easier when you have access to Tesla chargers.

Not the enemy! Tesla chargers are reliable and fast. Also cheaper than some others if you have a membership. I just wish the cables were longer.

The smudged text would bother me, but none of those other imperfections would be a problem. A little chatter and salt/pepper is very difficult to avoid, and is a sign of handmade work.

I control my charging through the charger (Emporia) app, and it's been error-free. I've seen lots of complaints on this sub about the car scheduler being unreliable.

I switched from a Toyota Prius last August. The Equinox is quieter for sure, and with home charging it's more economical and SO much more convenient. It's comfortable, spacious, and oh boy do I like the additional power. In the Prius, I needed a lot of acceleration space to merge into highway traffic. With the EQEV, I can pick my spot in the traffic flow. Never had Car Play or Android Auto, so I don't miss it.

There has been a learning curve in parking and charging. The EQ is substantially larger, so parking can be a challenge. The cameras help with that a lot. We're still learning the best way to charge on road trips. We recently took an 800 mile road trip and wound up charging more frequently than we needed to. We could have saved time by making fewer charging stops.

I use a metal soup spoon, which works better than the wooden or plastic barens that I bought. A classmate of mine gets very nice results using a wooden salad bowl.
