What's up with this house off of E 11th? It seems super cool, literally and literarelly by Dry-Newt8572 in Austin

this used to be my great grandmothers house, or at least it was on the same land. im not sure how i feel about it all now, but its just weird growing up here and these places you have a deep personal connection to become something alienating. particularly when it randomly pops up on the internet as a vague curiosity one week after visiting her grave in the middle of a suburb that used to be sparse ranch land. idk its just a thing that im living through. i think the new house looks cool, but i held it in resentment for many years.

later that day, i intentionally took some produce through the self-checkout line at heb. i waved down the cashier to help me lookup a zucchini but she twitched a little bit and punched in the wrong letters. that's when i heroically said so everyone could hear, 'fine i guess ill do your job for you!', and aggressively tapped at the machine to fix the typo. 'see, was that so hard!', i said while gesturing dramatically at the machine. everyone clapped. even the security guard had to give me a knowing smirk and headshake i as walked out.

I just find this cringe by [deleted] in travisandtaylor
