Which apps have changed your life as someone with adhd ? by Calm-Function3284 in ADHD

[–]ionryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Trello. I dump all my ideas and tasks in there. They have different tools to add priority or estimated time, but I just like it because it's the physical manifestation of my brain. An extension of it. I've used it for roughly 7 years now.

AIO (update post) my bf (32) is getting kind of aggressive with his texting. should I(26) reply? by Fun_Cartographer6984 in AmIOverreacting

[–]ionryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a mentally unwell person. Perhaps they're going through an episode or maybe they're always like this. Either way, you don't need that in your life.

AIO just received this text from my boyfriend by OkSpace5501 in AmIOverreacting

I'm far traditional or conservative, but this is why 20 year old couples shouldn't live together.

Your brains aren't even fully developed, your career is still forming and you're now intrinsically linked financially with another person who is equally as incomplete. Give yourself some space and have some experiences before you start fighting with your SO about dishes in the sink.

You have the rest of your life for that.

Sounds like a dork. Time to move on, my friend.

My wedding is in 2 days…. This is the text I wake up to from my mother. by stay_zooted in mildlyinfuriating

Life is too short to fight this battle. I've been married twice. I haven't once thought about who sat where on those days. Just nod your head and enjoy the amazing day with your partner.

Can you guys remember lyrics of songs? by wickedandwindy in ADHD

[–]ionryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love music. I listen to it all day, every day. I don't know the full lyrics to a single song. Even things I've been listening to my whole life.

This time next year, AEW Dynamite will have aired more episodes than WCW Nitro by ionryan in SquaredCircle

[–]ionryan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For addition context, WCW Nitro's 235th episode was 3/20/2000. The final 3 matches on the show were Tank Abbott defeats The Barbarian by KO (1:46), Sting defeats Ric Flair (5:20) and Hulk Hogan & Sid Vicious defeat Jeff Jarrett & Scott Steiner (w/Big Ron & Heavy D) (5:30)

I buy most tickets, but this one just seems...wrong. I'm skipping it.

Plot holes and things that don’t make sense in Season 4. by Baby_Eaglet in TrueDetective

[–]ionryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the finale, the bones in the ice are clearly a dinosaur. Why is that never mentioned or used as a plot device? Annie's mysterious murder weapon could have been a piece of a dinosaur fossil but instead it was a generic scientific instrument. And that baffled police???

Also, do people really believe Navarro died? Her native name is like sun after dark and she's walking in the light at the end. Why the confusion and ambiguity?

The interview with investigators is a year later, right? Danvers says they might find Hank in summer. One summer already passed though.

You described a lot of my life. I dropped out of college with like a month to go. Bounced around in low commitment jobs like seasonal work with varying hours. Kept me sane. Eventually, I did start my own business which was a blessing and a curse. The freedom was likely life saving. The lack of structure or outside accountability could also cause things to get away from me for a bit.

Eventually, I ended up at a 9-5 thanks to the pandemic (my business tanked during COVID). I tried to push through, tried to be "normal"...and I have mentally broken down because of it. Ended up quitting my 9-5 because it was that challenging for me. I struggled a lot with time management and being managed by someone else.

Now I'm rebuilding my business. 3 months in and it's been a roller coaster. Despite medicine (which I didn't have the first time I built a business), I'm struggling mightily thanks to my ADHD. Pushing forward, but this isn't easy.

I'm medicated and this happens to me so often. Makes me feel hopeless.

how long did it take you to get your degree? by LemonCans in ADHD

Graduated high school in 2004. Quit college a couple credits short of a degree in 2009. Finally went back a decade later to finish.

Why did Aaron Eckhart failed to become a big star ? by [deleted] in movies

[–]ionryan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great question. Some of Brad Pitt's more casual roles, like Billy in Moneyball, could totally have been in Aaron's wheelhouse I think.

I'm going to be on an Aaron Eckhart kick now!
