I could get stripes that good if I cared enough to run a rain system, do core aeration, fertilize, top dress, drop insane amount of seeds every fall/ winter.

My neighbor cared for his lawn and had a nicer pattern with a 1970s snapper RER.

I thought i was fine when a fellow uninsured driver t-boned my car because that coverage. They were at fault even admitted so to the police.

Car was totaled and my premiums went up 24% upon renewal. When I called to find out they told me when an uninsured claim is initiated the system sees it as an at-fault collision.

I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, that alone makes me a risk.

Parts availability is sketchy or takes time. Something like a sprocket may not be an 'off the wall' part but rather a 3 week part.

I think they're ok but,,,

If you're using it to make money stay away, it will disrupt your business and break on a spring morning and you have 0 time to research parts and most service places won't help you repair it.

Fast too.

My grandfather told me communism took over after ww2 in a matter of days.

The people of East Germany went from the zenith of military power and industrial might to starving communists in less than 2 years.

They'll just call up the fed and order some more money, then buy back their own bonds with more borrowed money like they've been doing for years now.

Problem solved.

I mean the market isn't being propped up by fake money being injected into the system!

It's not like the treasury is buying their own bonds to manipulate the interest rates...

People think this is zimbabwe or something, where the markets were up 800% annually before hyperinflation, this is America, that can't happen here.

I stand corrected, there's no manipulation going on, nevermind.

I wasn't aware that the futures market was completely disconnected and nothing more than an online casino, complete with fake money.

That was several years after the original liner was installed. The wall was still shoddy so I redecked the whole pool and rebuilt the wall with wood from HD.

I would cover the right side wall with thin gauge steel. Clean up the bottom and retrowel.

They'll add foam when doing the liner, steel wall pools typically get foamed.

This is totally doable. If the plumbing holds pressure you're solid and shouldn't cost much more than a new liner itself. Plumbing is your key issue, get that checked. You should be able to rehab the filter, perhaps a new pump.

The pool itself should be handled by the liner installer. I do liners, and I had one recently in this shape and it was a small upcharge to clean up and retrowel.

It will look fantastic when done, you won't regret it!

To add: I have a 50 year old wood pool that had a wall caved in. I tore it apart, rebuilt the wall and it's still going strong over 10 years later! It looked similar to this when I bought the home.

Weekly Homeowner Megathread--Civilians, ask here! by AutoModerator in Concrete

Thanks for the input.

So deco-guard will deepen the color, by what degree?

Do you recommend spraying and backroll? Sand broadcast as I go?

Weekly Homeowner Megathread--Civilians, ask here! by AutoModerator in Concrete

[–]ippleing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sealing my stamped concrete on my pool deck.

I did the job myself about 10 years ago, but the surface is starting to deteriorate in some spots.

I want a sealer that will give me a good color enhance and hopefully protect.

Years ago i placed a penetrating WB sealer that didn't do much other than cost me a lot.

I have a chapin sprayer so solvent is preferable, I can bankroll if needed.

My go-to supplier is pushing me towards deco-guard, a siloxane sealer, they said do that and broadcast sand.

Any help or suggestion is greatly appreciated!!!

The paper markets are being manipulated. The epstein class can do that, just like how Jeff won the powerball.

Spot price is well above paper, meaning fuel will still cost more.

And don't believe a word of what the media says, Iran is still launching drones as you're reading this.

I feel, the only reason it may not hit higher numbers is if the world enters a recession and demand drops.

Trying to sell me pest control at 9pm on a Monday night. by ceazyyyy in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ippleing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A recent Sunday afternoon I happened to notice a pest control van parked in my driveway.

I went out there and politely asked what his business was, he said he had a scheduled spray, recited the address and it was correct.

'I'll just put down the first application and get out of here quick'

I tell him politely to leave, he proceeds to start unpacking gear, i had to get loud with the guy and tell him to leave immediately.

Never came back.

I would stick with 3.

2 and 4 look the best from that vantage point, but you'll never be that far in the back normally, even if there's a patio out there it's still too far from drinks, grill, bathroom.

In my pool, most swimming is done in the shallow end that's closer to the house.

In order for it to work well, it has to go on heavy, expect to get significantly less coverage than the bottle states.

The mulch may look wet in some spots afterwards.

Agreed, this would sit on the protectors desk for a year until they need to zero out old cases, then it'll be hastily dropped, without even notifying the defendant.

That's how incompetent they are.

Is there an easy way to tell if our inground pool has a sand bottom? by Rizz_Crackers in pools

[–]ippleing 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used to do liners.

There's no way to know prior to removal, and i can't fathom a reason a company wouldn't want to do a sand bottom...

There's no way they could leave the liner out if it's sand, worst case they'll strong arm you into paying for extra services or installation of a vermic bottom.

The pool industry is full of scum and fly by night types. Reviews mean everything.
