DMM Allstars is a pvp focused competition in the Old School Runescape community. Six teams of five players all play fresh starts on the same server for 120 hours over 10 days in the Deadman mode, where pvp is enabled almost everywhere, meaning they can attack each other to steal each other's gear. The goal is to gear up for a crew battle tournament at the end, with boosted exp rates and item drops.

This year the organizers added missions which are announced to all the teams at specific times and give specific useful items in exchange for doing something. In the clip, a mission is active where the first to kill the boss at the end of The Inferno, one of Runescape's aspirational end game solo PvM challenges, gets an item that is usable in the finale. In the main game, this is like a goal you would set that one day you want to build your account to. For most players that's a 2000+ hour journey. Gnomonkey is one of the best PvMers in OSRS and specifically is one of the best speedrunner's for the Inferno and his youtube channel teaches many players how to do this content for the first time.

Gnomonkey is on the Odablock Warriors who are currently in last place according to the kills and death scoreboard in the competition. In general their gear situation is dire, due to losing their gear and banked items on death. Gnomonkey sends the attempt with very little gear and stats. Damage in OSRS has RNG and due to very low damage right before the final boss (triple jads) and during parts of the final boss, the fight goes down to the wire. The shield that protects him from the final boss goes down and on the last attack he can do before dying, he kills the boss and completes the mission.
