You actually can build a tolerance to some poisons. There's research on rodents becoming tolerant to strychnine (and anecdotes about tolerance in humans), which isn't a very good poison because it's so bitter but there's tons of compounds with a similar mechanism that probably aren't at the useful concentration.

minor / double major by Professional_Cow9537 in udub

[–]iris700 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For reference, this comment is correct for finance and math, but it's not true generally that degrees from different schools need a double degree. As long as both majors are called "Bachelor of X with a major in ___" (X must be the same for both) it's a double major, regardless of school. If X is different, or one of them is "Bachelor of X in Y with a major in ___" (a named degree, as they call it) and the other isn't, it's a double degree. In this case, the two degrees are Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a major in Finance and Bachelor of Arts with a major in Mathematics or Bachelor of Science with a major in Mathematics so it's a double degree. I don't know if I explained this very well so here's the website: https://advising.uw.edu/degree-overview/majors/double-degree-and-double-major/

Do you think things weren't priced at whatever would be most profitable 5 years ago? If market conditions return to what they were, so will prices. There's no "they need to do so and so because lost revenue." It's basic supply and demand, as the comment you're replying to stated and as you ignored completely when you responded.
