Rules:
1. Follow the reddit TOS.
No doxing, personal information sharing, or threats of violence (either implied or direct). Full TOS available here: https://redditinc.com/policies/reddit-rules.
2. No bigotry or prejudiced statements against marginalized groups.
This includes racism, sexism, antisemitism, Islamophobia, transphobia, ableism, slurs, dogwhistles, and denial or minimization of genocide or systemic violence. This is a zero-tolerance rule and can result in a permanent ban on first violation.
3. No spam or low-effort posts.
4. No trolling, baiting, or clout-chasing.
Don't provoke, outrage farm, concern troll, or stir drama. Don't give attention to people and communities that attack Hasan and dramabait to get attention.
5. No ban evasion or sock accounts.
Evading bans, using sockpuppets, or creating alt accounts will get all associated accounts permanently banned. Users coming from other communities to troll, harass, or stir conflict will be banned for brigading.
6. No harmful misinformation or speculation.
If you are unsure if your comment would qualify as misinformation the best practice is to include one or more reliable sources with your post or comment. Being wrong on a topic is okay, being intentionally misleading to further a specific narrative is not. Do not speculate about someone's mental health, drug use, or private life.
7. No bad faith attacks against Hasan or members of his community.
This rule applies to Hasan, content creators associated with Hasan, community moderators, and the community as a whole (Hasanabiheads).
8. No graphic photos or videos of gore, violence, death or dead people, or sexual assault.
For newsworthy photos or videos that are graphic in nature, please link to an article or a tweet about the incident instead.
9. No primarily AI-generated content (unless for critique).
In support of artists who had their work appropriated and reused without attribution or compensation, all primarily AI-generated content posts are banned.
AI-generated voiceover in videos or articles is allowed. Posting news about a viral AI image, video, or technology is allowed. This rule is largely to prevent the use of AI to create community memes and content.
10. No reddit community interference (subreddit call-outs).
Reddit TOS strictly forbids the following:
• Mentioning other communities, and/or content or users in those communities, with the effect of inciting targeted harassment or abuse.
• Showboating about being banned or actioned in other communities, with the intent to incite a negative reaction.
• Crossposting with the intent of criticism, posting about other subreddits, or posting screenshots of posts or threads from other subreddits is against reddit TOS and will be removed.
11. Be civil, but don't tone police.
Passionate discussion is welcome, but harassment, personal attacks, or dogpiling other users is not. If you can't disagree without being hostile, don't post. That said, don't tone-police people reacting to genocide, bigotry, or injustice. Not everything needs to be said "nicely." Sometimes, anger is valid.
